What do you expect when most of the players we are going for are not in the bracket of player that is expected of a chelsea player, support every chelsea player the same, that doesnt mean i have to think he is good enough,

Summary of Chelsea fans who want to establish that they are superior to others
1. Everything was Jose's fault
2. Our players will be world class under Conte
3. Club is going for a Lamborghini but ends up with a Kia instead.
4. I will show up the others that I am the only one unaffected by this
5. Who cares that the same thing happened last year but that was Jose's fault
6. I will create new threads to demean anyone who isn't happy that the club has lowered their expectations

Do Chelsea fans whinge so much that there is a thread whinging about our whinging? We better take a long hard look in the mirror before we become scousers.

Is that a euphemism?

My personal favourite, why are we signing him he is crap! I have never seen him play other then YouTube highlights but I know he will be crap!

Come on FC, you're better than that.

you might not agree what people are posting but they're entitled to an opinion (I've not seen anyone say Conte Out but I'm sure that was an overdramatisation on your part).

Personally, the problem with this whole saga is it is an exact replica of last year. We cover our eyes and sing lalalala until about about a month to go, then we go after our main target for the position that should have been targeted at the start (Sontes or Koulibaly) with about a week to go, it finally dawns on us that it's not happening and we've since 'apparently' bid for Marquinhos (again), Romagnoli, now Luiz & possibly the full back from Italy (the name escapes me just now.)

meanwhile we've sent a whole host of young players out on loan.

Fans are understandably worried & concerned with what's going on, it's not just a one off, that's two summers in a row now.

What exactly is the bracket of player expected at Chelsea?

How many fans had held high opinions of players Dave, Ivanovic, Cech, Drogba, Lampard or any of the many non marque signings we've made through the years?

There's a wierd sense of self entitlement that's crept into this forum with a sneering nastiness towards anyone not seen as glamorous linked to the club.

What the feck is the purpose of this thread?

To express frustration at the lack of quality discussion that has snuck into a lot of threads on the forum.

The same small handful of posters regurgitating baseless opinions and bemoaning everything and anything about the club.

Ome thing having an opinion, another entirely to show no hint of support towards the club.

The bracket i would say is world class, kante is world class who will start most weeks and is an improvement of what we had, fabregas and costa were world class when we signed them and they made an immediate improvement,

When the opinions I keep reading a sensationalist nonsense and read many posts speaking down at the club I love and support it gets tiresome... So yeah this was my vent thread to show what I think is an endless stream of overreactions floating around on the forum.

Transfer windows are generally a low point on the forum because people take rumours and media circus too seriously but it's frustrating for me to see a site I enjoy reading and participating on descend to a level where decent debate and discussion goes out of the window.

But not every player a club signs can be world class.

If we'd signed Kante 2 years ago there'd have been a meltdown about signing this 23 year old with no top level experience etc. It's a good example because 12 months ago Kante wasn't viewed as world class but no you hold him up as an example of the type of player we should be signing.

mate in 2009 when it became clear we were trying to sign Pirlo to play under Ancelotti half the forum went into meltdown and outrage as he wasn't considered a big marquee name and he was past it

So i take it you were optimistic when we signed papy and hector

Some of the reactions to Alonso`s signing sum it up, certain "fans" disgust at us signing an ex Bolton and sunderland player is embarrassing. I couldnt care less who we sign a player from, Cahill came from Bolton and was excellent for us helping us win pretty much everything. Conte wants a left back, he has chosen Alonso who he knows, and who has played in the prem so lets see how it goes. I remember him being very good for Sunderland in the short time he was there, their fans were desperate to keep him.

Good post mate. Our recent success has made some of our fans' expectations too high.

Just let Alonso play in a decent run of games first before judging him. I'm certain that Conte has monitored him long enough to deem him good enough to be a part of our squad.

Papy I held out a glimmer of hope for because we have a very good track of recruitment from Ligue 1 although it quickly become clear he was here to make up the numbers after the move for Stones fell flat.

Hector was just another recruitment for the loan army which I have posted elsewhere about where I feel is now a wasted resource because of the change in direction of recruitment.

Bemoaning?  All I see is you moaning about the so-called moaners.

You're obviously not looking very closely then.
