You would have thought that Sky would have checked with Everton first before confirming anything. It just shows how desperate people in the media are to be the ones to break the news first. July 7, 20179 yr Well now that Lukaku is most likely out the window, I never believed we had a chance to sign Sanchez but I wonder if the cheekiest of cheeky ridiculously big offer with a remember cech card pulled would make them budge now that they signed a good striker, my thoughts are the fans are incredibly disgruntled if he signed for us and smashed it they would have mutiny at the club, for me thats the biggest reason why they won't buy we might as well take a shot
July 7, 20179 yr He said he already knows where he's going. So I presume a deal is already agreed, or he's staying at Arsenal.
July 7, 20179 yr And would Arsenal spend nearly £100m on two players if they haven't sold Sanchez? I don't think so, let's not forget how tight they are.

They spent £100m on 3 players last summer and that was before this inflated market. They're not as tight as they used to be.
July 7, 20179 yr This is still Wenger we're talking about here. They would never splash that kind of cash without having made a major sale first. I think he's gone. The question remains - what to do about our striker situation? Both Belotti and Morata are unproven commodities to me with a huge price tag, but out of the two, I'd rather have a fighter like Belotti who Conte can make into a stud. Will it happen? I'm gonna say no for now just because of the sheer prices involved. I think we're gonna do some kind of small deal for a striker like Llorente, pairing him with Bats in a platoon situation. (Yawn)
July 7, 20179 yr They didn't make any major sales last summer when they spent similar figures though. In fact, they haven't made any major sale in quite a while. They could still let his contract run out. If they get Lemar from Monaco then I think it's more possible. But absent of that, Sanchez probably will stay.
July 9, 20179 yr He can agree what he likes its down to Arsenal to decide whether to sell him to an EPL competitor or not...

July 9, 20179 yr Arsenal can't afford to loose him...they cannot be without CL football beyond one season and with Eversh*te splashing their cash about, a top four finish looks even harder this year... Edited July 9, 20179 yr by doctorblue
July 9, 20179 yr Let me guess, Chelsea will confirm they've mirrored Manchester Citys bid an hour before he signs for City....

In a different thread I asked another poster using among others "Eversh*t" to stop being so childish. You consistently write it as well. It's getting tedious and it's nowhere near funny or clever. Please don't stoop to "Chelski" levels.

July 9, 20179 yr I just don't understand where Pep will put all these players. He has 7-8 players that are regular starters. Maybe Aguero isn't in his plans anymore?
