May 8, 20179 yr For you, which title win feels the most special? Clearly 2004 will be quite special after being the first for 50 years. 2005/06 - Second time around 2009/10 - Ancellotti double 2014/15 - Jose returns 2016/17 - Conte For me, this season feels pretty special particarly after how horrible last season was and how bad we started this season. To turn it round with such a team spirit and togetherness - incredible. Even more special because Conte didn't really get the transfers he wanted. 2014/5, it felt like we ground the title out till we got there. This season, we won and won playing good football. May 8, 20179 yr Whatever the current one is In all honesty I don't think anything will ever top 09-10 for me, that season was just incredible. I think the fact it went to the final day was the big reason why, as was the football we played that season. Although if we!re talking special you can't beat the first time can you?

May 8, 20179 yr It's obviously always going to be the first in my lifetime under Jose. Edited May 8, 20179 yr by Chelsbear

May 8, 20179 yr I will say and this sounds spoilt but I think 14/15 was probably my least favourite of the bunch, the League Cup win that year felt better than winning the title for me.

Yeah the football wasn't great after new year but we were streets ahead in terms of points and no one was even close to matching our results. City were the closest but they were pretty average It was a cake walk of a season domestically, we always had a healthy gap from memory. I'm a cautious guy but at no point did I think we wouldn't win that season which is rare from me.

We can both agree that we didn't "grind it out" in terms of points, just that the football was poor in the 2nd half of the season.

As much as I love the way it ended, I had so much doubt during the season, every time we had a chance to build a gap we dropped points and gave United hope, it was infuriating. It was actually quite similar to Liverpool the season before only difference was being we thankfully done just about enough to keep United at bay.
May 9, 20179 yr Its tough between 04/05 - the First Prem. 09/10 ending Uniteds dominance and incredibly tight race. 16/17- Unexpected. Im actually going for this season because it is so unexpected, and done in some style.
May 9, 20179 yr This one for me has been particularly sweet. Last summer i had so many friends and colleagues saying that Chelsea wouldn't be a threat this year and would struggle to break back into the top 4.

How good were we in first half of the season though? Costa on fire, Fabregas the magician orchestrating beautiful passes, Hazard unstoppable. I got to say after the first one, this season will be my favourite. No one has expected us to do this well, including ourselves! And oh boy are we doing it in style.
May 9, 20179 yr Author Yeah I think the unexpectedness makes this year particularly special. 2014/15 felt like a slog towards the end. I remember the 1-0 away win to QPR which was incredibly boring to watch.
May 9, 20179 yr Nothing will beat seeing your team winning it's first league title, just like i don't think winning the Champions League will ever feel as good as the first time. So the first title win was the best. 2nd best was under Ancelotti. So many goals scored. The only downside was how long it took us to win it. We were clearly the best team in the league that season but couldn't shake United off. Maybe it was because we hadn't won the league for a few years and United were used to winning it after winning 3 in a row. 3rd best was the 2nd Premier League title. Totally dominant from start to finish, we truly were the best side in the league at that point. If it wasn't for Ronaldo, i genuinely think we would have dominated that era of the Premier League. 4th best was 2 seasons ago under Mourinho. The first half of the season we were brilliant to watch and played some of the best football i have seen from a Chelsea side. The second half of the season became a grind and it constantly felt like us vs the world. I loved winning the title ( obviously ) but so much joy was taken out of it because of the negativity from different angles. If we win it this season ( i'm not saying when, i'm not jinxing it ) then this will be my second favourite title win. Nobody thought we would win it, even i didn't think we stood a chance at the start of the season. 4th place and a cup run was all i was asking for. But we exceeded everyone's expectations this season. We have found a new style of football with a different formation, we have been enjoyable to watch and it's been pleasant with little fuss. It's just been a lot of fun this season. Last season was so miserable, this season has been the complete opposite.

Oh yeah first half of season was brilliant, it just felt like the pressure was on in the second half. Almost like no one one enjoying themselves. Mourinho looked really happy when we won the Cup but when we won the league he looked like a man who'd been to hell and back.
May 9, 20179 yr All were special for different reason's, this barring a calamity will definitely be the most satisfying title since the back to backs purely because of how good we are (factor in the manager's to the equation and this is our best team since 2008). 2010 i felt was our weakest title winning team, the way we blitzed Stoke and Wigan at the end papered over cracks that transferred into gaping holes in 10/11, and 2015 title post Christmas we had to adapt ultra defensive tactics to get over the line.
May 9, 20179 yr I know it's not a title, but winning the FA cup in 97 was probably my favourite day as a Chelsea supporter. Right from 7 in the morning to partying in Parsons Green well passed midnight!

I still the problem with the 10/11 team was not replacing the players that left at the end of 09-10. For one Ballack should have gotten a new contract, that was another leader we lost. But we also lost Carvalho, Deco and Belletti, Belletti was a really good versatile squad player aswell. I think the ultra defensive tactics all came from that battering by Spurs, although I will say that Spurs in beating us so empathetically actually sealed there fate for the cup final a few months later. That game actually showed us how best to cope with their attacking talent so by the time both teams reached the final Mourinho already knew what he had to do. 1 hour ago, Lambeth Walker said: I know it's not a title, but winning the FA cup in 97 was probably my favourite day as a Chelsea supporter. Really really special, definitely my favourite of our FA Cup wins. Carvalho was awful in that last year, Ballack would have been out for the season and Deco never handled English football well, fair enough Belletti playing the games Bosingwa did would have come in handy. In general i don't think them staying would have changed much, the cracks were already there in 09/10 and there were signs we were stagnating and declining, whenever we played more than once a week we were dead on our feet in the 2nd half (remember the WHL farce and how much sharper City were opposed to us in that 4-2) and Carlo's tactics and unableness to react hindered us, ironically Jose doing us with Inter probably won it us. As for 2015 partly it was that reason but also it was because all our players except the two Belgians fell of a cliff form wise and Jose had no clue how to change things, i think most of us at the time gave him the benefit of the doubt that he went cautious to get the job done, but as it turned out it was the start of a full blown crisis.
May 9, 20179 yr Of course all are special in their way but: 2004-5 - the first which I never thought I'd see, so cannot be matched This year (fingers crossed) - because I really, really, really did not expect it. I would have bitten your hand off for second. Or third. Or fourth. Hey, even fifth I'd have shrugged and thought "we can build on that". 2010 - that last game against Wigan. Only started to feel comfortable at 3-0 against 10 men! 2015 - really enjoyed it, thought it was the start of a dynasty (maybe?) but it's turned very sour. Can't bring myself to watch that season's dvd. Probably on an equal with 2010 if not for bad post-season fall-outs 2005-06 Particularly remember the game against Manure. Watched it in our local with Manure fans. Good memories but slightly pipped at the post by other years.

I still remember the commentator's words when Carvalho scored the third - "A move that he started, he finishes and he finishes off Manchester United"Beautiful memories.
