WBA Vs Chelsea (PL) Fri 12/05 2017 KO 20:00 GMT

Featured Replies

Pullis normally sets up with his tried and trusted, kick bollock and bite team with Yacob the tortoise shuffling around in front of their back four, kicking anything that moves. Against Leicester, in their last home game, they fell behind and actually looked better when their substitutes, McClean and Leko came on, who both offered far more pace. 0-3 for us in this game.

I can see a 3-1 Chelsea win in this game.

It'll be a very tough game but our players looked very much on it and up for it against 'Boro.

I'd go with,

Tbo

Azp Luiz Cahill

Moses Kante Matic Alonso

Cesc Costa Hazard

Cesc in for Pedro as his ability to unlock a packed defence in and around the box is vital and led us to breaking down 'Boro time and time again.

I think our lads really really want to win this friday. Great day to clinch it. For this reason it will be tough.

Would be lovely if Hazard scored. I really like the way he is emphasizing scoring in big games. He is one of our leaders.

Can see Pulis doing a Pulis and pretty much play 11 defenders and not even bother trying to score all game unless there's a set piece.

Fabregas will be absolutely key this game, his vision and passing needed to unlock that stubborn defence

Pulis and WBA stopped playing when they had 40 pts. Would not surprise me if they did turn up for this one though because thats just our luck.

Anyway, its Friday and a perfect start to the weekend if we can do it. Otherwise a new chance comes Monday. Come on Chelsea!

Btw, just watched Jenas being so bitter after the fa cup semi final, hilarious. Looked so devastating

You should've heard the arrogant c**t on MOTD on Monday. He criticised the Boro Midfield for Not closing us down quickly enough and then said that if he'd been playing he would've stopped it from happening. :laugh2:

Deluded doesn't even begin to describe this guy.

That's a start.

Lacks bottle he is ex spurs after all

But he looks pretty and speaks semi-literately (until you listen properly) so hence why they use him.  It's all about how they look rather than what they say.

just realised this isn't on Sky, bugger. I'm working late Friday and wanted to record it to watch when I got in. Looks like I'll just have to follow this thread.

What???? What the f**k is it on then?  BT?

I must be wrong. The premier league website says it is on Sky but my tv guide isn't showing it. Maybe it's just the EPG on my you view box that needs updated.

How are you BQ looking forward to Friday?

Oh yes - but am torn between wanting to win it then or waiting til I'm at the Bridge on Monday.  Bah, who am I kidding, I want to win it on Friday.  The sooner the better.  And then Monday and the Sunderland game is party, party, party!  What about you?

Was half tempted to go along to WBA and find a pub but think it might fall flat so will probably go down a local unless someone convinces me otherwise.  Is it going to be worth it? (I should add it's not that far from me - about an hour to an hour and a half away)

Obviously I want us to win but the last few weeks have been so great it's a little sad to come to the end of the season like this, away from home and ahead of the weekend fixtures.

Still, we've got the cup final to look forward to

I was thinking the same!

Have you been on the theausaurus again? :laugh2:

Fabregas has made himself difficult to drop, but Matic too has been quietly performing very well since around the 80 minute in the FA Cup semi.

So if Kante's fit to return I reckon Pedro misses out, which will leave us a lot of attacking pace on the bench if we're looking for a late goal.

WBA don't roll over, and Pulis will use every trick in the book to upset our rhythm and deny a title win on his turf. It'll be a battle but we're on the ascendency again and I really fancy us to power through and get this done on the night. Roll on tomorrow!

That had run through my mind too, watch it in a local pub, try to avoid any incident with the locals and then head to the ground with 5 minutes to go and wander in through the open gates to join the celebrations. But sods law, the nearest pub showing the game would be 5 miles away and we'd draw the game.

Plus, we have to win it on Friday as the one thing worse than winning it away, is winning it when someone else loses and you're not even playing.
