Really don't think Kante deserves much criticism,he had to cover for Matic in the midfield and was on of the better players out there.

Kante had 6 tackles,2 interceptions,3 clearances and the best pass accuracy while having the third most.

Matic had 0 tackles,1 interception and 1 clearance and half the passes.

Fabregas made more tackles and passes than him in 30 mins.

Really felt the team played with 10 men from the start.

I thought Kante was poor tbh, kept losing the ball (I know others did too). I know we were down to 10 when they made it 2-1 but he should gave followed Ramsey for that goal aswell.

For the 2nd goal, Luiz's positioning needs to be questioned first and foremost.

Teebo: 6/10 -  He either kept the scoreline down to 1-0 or it was bad finishing. Not much to do

Alonso: 5/10 - He tried but was not one of his games to remember

Luiz: 5/10 - Average defensive display

Cahill: 5/10 - Made some good challenges but was also nervy. Was beaten easily a few times

Dave: 5/10 - Not one of his better games but still shows passion and desire on the pitch

Moses: 2/10 - Shocking, shocking performance! From the very first minute till his sending off. Got in dangerous positions so many times but didn't know what to do with the ball. Was like Bambi on Ice. The dive was just criminal being on a yellow. He let his team, himself and the fans down big time.

Kante: 6/10 - People say he was poor and yes it was not one of his better games but I saw him make crucial interceptions and trying to do two jobs at once. Give him a competent partner and he can do a better job.

Matic: 1/10 - I'm being really generous with my rating here. One of the worst performances from a Chelsea player that I have ever seen. We had a free kick in the middle of the park and he kicked it straight to an Arsenal player. Just summed up his day. Never closed down, didn't win any balls, absolutely everything he did was terrible. He's just big for nothing. I don't expect him to be a dictator and make good defense splitting passes but at least be competent for what your body is built for. Just an absolute shambles.

Hazard: 5/10 - He was totally invisible this game.

Pedro: 6/10 - He was positive and tried but when the rest of the team are rubbish, not much more he could do.

Costa: 6/10 - Just never got into the game. Had a chance to equalise and blew it.

Conte: 4/10 - Even the Don can have a mare and on Saturday he had one.  Took way too long to make any changes. Matic should've gone off earlier. With Arsenals high line and makeshift defense he should have used the likes of Willian and Cesc from the start. Two players who like to control the tempo of the game. Matic would've been better coming off the bench to see out the game and Willian would look to create goals for Hazard and Costa instead of Pedro who looks to shoot and blocked shots leaving our pathetic defense to defend the counter. 

Arsenal didn't win that game, we lost it.

I'm still somewhat annoyed, to have such an off day on a cup final day.

We needed a 3 man midfield I think, they were dominating us and just getting past Matic and Kante every time and leaving us hoofing it long and giving it away.

Hope we change that next season. I would not read too much into it if you can get the best out of the team in 38 games and reach a final.. on the day we were poor and it isnt him playing at the end of the day. I think it was a bit of a title hungover mixed with Arsenal wanting it a lot more.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. After such a fantastic league season, we suddenly perform so badly in the FA cup final. So many players went missing ie, Hazard, Matic, Kante. I don't understand this when the double is so close to being achieved. It confirms to me that Hazard being classed alongside Messi and Ronaldo is ridiculous. On a day like the final, those two would have produced something to save the day. Eden only produces when he feels like it. I thought that Moses was completely overwhelmed by the occasion. It's still been a great season though. COYB.

Completely agree with everything you say. We have still had a great season and Tony C will have noted a few things.

While we fully deserved to lose, I always knew We would be done by an incompetent ref who seems to make a minor error every time d he takes charge. The handball was Batangas and right in front of him, which makes you question his judgement. I can't really get my head around the offside call, either. This is what the FIFA website says, with regard to Ramsey's action of moving in on goal towards the ball right in Courtois's line of vision:

Either way, refs are given the freedom to make a subjective call. And when a ref's judgement is pretty dubious, you can't be surprised when two big calls go against you in a matter of seconds.

The fact Ramsey went to in into the ball it should be offside. It's a ridiculous rule honestly and it needs clarifying.

The decision was annoying but it doesn't really bother me because in my mind we would have lost regardless with that rank performance. They got lucky but we rode our luck 3 other times which really should have led to goals.

im still gutted thinking back to the game, struggle to believe we would just treat that game like a charity shield kick about.

Totally agree it pains me to say it but as bad as we were Arsenal we're excellent all over the pitch. They totally deserved the win.

I disagree we lost the game, I think that's doing a disservice to how well Arsenal played. They weren't excellent cause we were dross, we were sh*te despite that. 

watching the playoff final and suddenly saturday's disappointment crept back in my head

damn, such a shame, still cant believe how awful we were in the first half

I mean the second chance to equalise which IMO was easier than the first.

Arsenal played well but that's because we played so so so bad. Had we started Willian and Cesc or made those subs far earlier, I'm convinced we would've won.

Well its happened again  big game and we cant cope  Arsenal , tottenham,  man u liverpool ,  all teams who have pressed us  hard and attacked us and we have sat back  and then said we started slowly etc etc 

ffs  when the opposing team have a make shift defence  you attack as there only option is to attack you to take pressure away from there weak point  , es the first goal helped them but its still not an excuse for how we go into games against the big teams  something needs sorted tactically

I suspect that is because he likes his system and top managers get to know the system and can plan to stop it.

I bet he has never played a man-marker.

Agree and think we need to play a 3-5-2 against the top sides with 2 mobile strikers which means no Hazard, Willian or Pedro  and a new striker as Bats is not the right player. This way we can open them up with long passes and so force back their DMs and WBs. It won't work with Costa on his own.

It's incredible how one win, where we played sh*t, has led Arsenal fans and pundits to talk about them winning the League next season...their league position is a true reflection of how good they are, not one game.

its all about how great wenger and arsenal are now in the media, its like them winning the cup was a greater achievement than us winning the league !!
