Well he is welcome to Chelsea! After Moses must have kept him on the bench for 2 seasons we will loan him back to Porto.
I just want us to sign players better than what we already have. I don't think Walker is better than Moses but if we had signed him, I will be more impress than this.

My goodness...walker is a brilliant fullback, he looks like a c**t and I can't stand him but the guy can play, fast, powerful contributed to attack and defence, if have him in a heartbeat and he is about 10 times the right fullback VM is..

I'm not sure why there are so many people against the idea of Auba, if we can't get Morata or Belotti then he's really our best option.
I'm not spending the season with Llorente.

I agreee but where you going to go?

Still think he might be our best option (besides Batshuayi), did Sky write anything on a transfer fee ?

Didn't mention if we've bid for him yet, only that we're interested.
They do say they estimate Dortmund letting him go for £70m though.

About our only option at this stage. I'm sure there are others but not from right field. Sanchez is not an out and out striker, if agueros the answer it's the wrong question.

Love that quote haha

I honestly can't see why we would pay 70mil for him. Keeping in mind that Abraham might be joining the squad in the near future I do think getting an older striker is the perfect solution, just not for this price.

I think the people against him underestimate the predicament we're in, we NEED a world class striker.

I'm sick of the words world class. Then why not buy Messi, we can use world class RF. Drogba was no world class when we bought him, who ever heard of Mbappe before he started kicking in goals ? Yet those players are now considered world class. What are even the criteria for being considered world class ?

World Class was probably a poor choice of words.
I meant, "proven"
IMO, Mbappe isn't proven. Costa was when we bought him, Auba is now.
You can argue that neither were proven in the premier league but right now Auba seems to be the cheapest proven option.

Would be weird spending more on Auba than Milan are rumoured to be paying for Morata.

I haven't got much faith in any of these deals tbh, Peter crouch any one?-lol

what I don't understand is that the player is clearly available and has been for some time, yet we haven't agreed a fee, neither does it look like we've made a bid. The fact that the board are taking this long makes me think that this could be a smokescreen for another deal.

I really dont understand the arguments against the purchase of Aubameyang, First argument being he wont suit our style of play, the last 2 seasons the Premier League has been won by teams playing on the counter with a incredibly quick front line- Aubameyang is the perfect striker required for counter attacking football. I would even argue of having him play on the right with Batshuayi up top whilst Hazard is out injured just to give us more of a goal threat.

The second argument being his age, the lad is 28 not 38-Fitness levels have improved over the last decade and we are regularly getting footballers playing into there late 30's. Yes a lot of his game is about pace and once that desserts him he could struggle but at the same time he is a pocher and his positioning in the box is 2nd to none so I don't think once he loses his pace he will be a liability.

Why do we need a proven striker, why can't one prove them selves with us. Do you know who was a proven striker, Torres , Kerman , Eto, shevchenko... each will have an excuse and reason it didn't work out but the same reason is a risk you take with any proven entity. Soldardo was proven and look what happened over there. And by the way we chose the proven option with Torres instead of giving Sturbridge a chance...

I think Sturridge "didn't get a chance" was more that he just wasn't good enough, was greedy and didn't look up, and was forever injured.  But that might just be my reasons for getting rid.  Who knows what the club thought when they hived him off to the scousers?

I thought Eto'o was good for us to be honest.

Can somewhat agree with this. Suarez, Henry, Aguero weren't Prem proven but were great in the Prem

Aguero aside the other two names prove my point even more. Henry was considered a flop in Italy, anyone who had seen him play at monoco would have known he should have been a striker... but he came as a non proven element. You could say the same about Suarez, decent but not one knew how good he could be.

If we lose out on Morata, just sign this guy up for 60M+. Seriously, we aren't going to get the perfect striker we all hoped for, and we won't be paying 100M buy out clause anytime soon. He's a proven striker, only has to look at his record, Sure he could fail, that's the risk with most big money signings. I don't see the re-sell value is much of an issue. Ferguson bought RVP for 25M, had one great season and won the league, you don't hear people complain about what he has done after that season. If he gives us 3 good seasons, I say it's worth it.

This is pretty much exactly how I look at it. Nothing is for long in football especially with strikers. Look at Diego. If we get 3-4 good years it's great
