January 15, 20188 yr So if Aubameyang goes to Arsenal. Perhaps we should be looking to take Giroud off Arsenal's hands? He's a target striker of a calibre above those we have been linked to. 31 also so he wouldn't stand in the way of Tammy in the long run.
January 15, 20188 yr Giroud is a good player. For a biggish fella he's technically quiet good, good finisher, can also finish with his head and brings others into the game. I'd take Giroud over Carroll. You don't play for the French national team and score the goals he has if you are poor. People on here saying he's poor don't know a footballer clearly. 29 goals in 69 games for France. 73 goals in 177 games for Arsenal. The fool ass supporters of Arsenal I ain't got a clue if they think he's sh*te. But then, again they think Manchester United are a small club. Guess that says it all. Also, a lot of his goals for club and country were probably coming off the bench. Edited January 15, 20188 yr by Famous CFC
January 15, 20188 yr Author Wouldn't Aubemayang be better staying at Dortmund than going to Arsenal ? He's not getting any younger, moving to them would be a step down in his career.
January 15, 20188 yr its so depressing we are linked with Carroll , who by the way is more injury prone then most, while the Arse are linkeg with Malcolm and Aubemayang. this is the Arsenal that are laying 6th and will not make top 4 again this year.
January 15, 20188 yr With all fairness to Morata, he's a great player and I still love him. But Auba is a completely different player, he'll offer us something different. And with Arsenal's interest in him apparent, what do they have that we don't? Dortmund are going to be playing Europa League Football, same as Arsenal and Arsenal don't look like qualifying for the Champions' League this season. We're in the Champions' League and while he will be cup-tied, we've got a better chance of qualifying.

An NBA style trade with Michy to Dortmund, Auba to Arsenal and Giroud to us would work well for all parties (we'd pay the lowest fee naturally)

The quality he brings is worth the price we'd play. But knowing Chelsea he hasn't even entered their heads as a potential option up top.
January 15, 20188 yr Well in regards to Aubemayag, he's certainly a downgrade on Alexis Sanchez. I'd prefer to play Arsenal without Sanchez than with him. Lacazette is a better striker than Aubemayang. Ozil and Sanchez are massive for Arsenal, those two make them tick. If they lose them both, Aubemayang won't make a difference. The main deal Arsenal should be trying to secure is Mesut Ozil signing a new deal.
January 15, 20188 yr might as well sign lanzini, arnautovic and caroll to get the full pikey package lol !
January 15, 20188 yr For a big striker which seems to be a necessity for Conte, Giroud beats out every striker we've been linked with (Llorente, Benteke and of course frickin' Carroll). He's also very effective coming off the bench, I'd be very happy if we signed him.
January 15, 20188 yr Well, apparently Giroud is available and his wife doesn't want to leave London. http://metro.co.uk/2017/12/27/arsenal-striker-olivier-giroud-rejected-everton-transfer-wife-claims-sam-allardyce-7185827/
January 15, 20188 yr Well, I doubt they'd sell him to us. If they do sign the great King Auba, then hopefully they'll think about it or he'll push for a move away. He could teach Morata a few things.

January 18, 20188 yr I don't understand why we are not pushing for him. We'd get a great player and we'll f**k Arsenal and possibly united.
January 18, 20188 yr Let's be honest, if we wanted to, we'd get him. He'd prefer us over Arsenal. We have Michy as a bargaining chip for Dortmund. The fact that we're not pushing for it, is a truly telling sign of our ambition as a club. Edited January 18, 20188 yr by TomCFC85
January 18, 20188 yr Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has agreed a three-and-a-half year deal with Arsenal worth £170,000-a-week ahead of a proposed move from Borussia Dortmund, according to Sky Italia.

I don't even know what's going on anymore, Liverpool and Arsenal are showing more ambition than we are in the transfer market.
