Still can't believe those idiots at Liverpool paid £75 million for a run of the mill defender. Playing for Celtic and Soton and you are worth that much. Soton laughing to the bank. Wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be a bust.

i thought they'd given up on FFP - might as well have for all the difference it made to the likes of City or PSG - the money in football is obscene, pity we're all hooked

The problem is with no limit on wages and transfer fees, it creates only a handful of teams that will end up with the supposedly best players in the world...the other teams then feed on scraps.  If City keep going as they are transfer wise and Utd keep up their spending the EPL will end up just like every other League in Europe with 2 or 3 teams with any chance of winning anything, although I'm not sure who the 3rd team would be in England....we are on an austerity programme until the new stadium is built.

In fact, Chamberlain and now VVD...what are Liverpool thinking?

They're about to lose Coutinho and I wouldn't be surprised if Real Madrid or someone show an interest in Salah soon. Feels like they're trading down. 

It'd be like us getting ready for Eden Hazard's departure by signing someone like Ross Barkley - bonkers!

Well if Van Dyke is worth that, what is Hummels, Azpi, Alderweireld and Ramos worth?

Dave has to be at least the same as VD...like everything though....you can buy anything but you have to pay the price......f**k penalty to the bin dippers

this game is dire - even the foul for the penalty was rubbish

really soft penalty that.....good job it wasn't against Arsenal...

might heat up a bit now though.....I'm waiting for the flying tackles to come in and a few reds to be handed out

If Van Dyke is worth £75 million, Azpi is worth £200 million. Same with Hummels and Toby.

They would instantly put immense pressure on him and slag us for spending that much on him.......but since its one of their darlings they only sing his praises and applaude klopp for such an astute signing. Ohh and if he is worth 75 then Azpi and Christensen are worth much higher....imo of course.
