July 9, 20179 yr Far-fetched yeah but in the spirit of getting one back over United.. 1) What with Lukaku signing for united and there being talk of Ibra having his contract renewed + Martial being due a serious season, I'm sure Marcus Rashford will be wondering if he'll be able to keep getting more and more games at the top level... We could be the only top club in Europe without a top striker... Rashford won't get games at no.9 at united. We need more homegrown players in the squad. Rashford needs to kick on in World Cup year.. 2) Alternatively, if Ibra is returning to fitness and still has no club, why not go for him? He'd be a better Llorente than Llorente and would retire in time for Abraham's heroic return.
July 9, 20179 yr I doubt Zlatan would work for our system. Can you imagine him on the counter-attack?

July 9, 20179 yr I'd take Rashford in a heartbeat. He's probably feeling less than encouraged by them signing Lukaku because he'll have to start playing on the wing to get on the field regularly. I doubt they'd ecen think of selling him to us so it's all moot
July 10, 20179 yr No way is United going to sell an academy English player who is actually quite decent for them to a rival, unless we bid something in double digits. Still want to do it ?

July 10, 20179 yr If we are going to try and take advantage of Jose's favoritism i would rather take a punt on Martial, pure talent wise he's up there with Mbappe and properly coached could be quite something. Rashford is ridiculously overrated due to his status as a United academy boy.

Also doubt he would be interested in switching the United bench for ours he is currently worse than Michy and I would much rather him leading the line. That being said if he is available he would be a decent signing may even complement Abraham going forward, he would also be useful in the Hazard/Pedro roles so would be worth a shot. Ibrahimovic wold be an interesting one but he is out for the first few months and probably isn't worth the wages he would want, also I would much prefer him to resign for United and therefore to piss off Lukaku, Rashford and Martial by limiting their opportunities when fit.
July 10, 20179 yr Author Fairly conclusive no then, was just curious why neither had been mentioned. :)
July 10, 20179 yr I must admit I thought Zlatan would be worth a move when I heard he'd been let go...but there is the case of his injury and how much he could really do/play this coming season. So it's probably not worth it. Shame as a fit Zlatan is still a world-class striker. Rashford would be as unlikely but for different reasons. We would know United would probably only let him go overpriced. No question as to whether or not he'd be wanted here, the answer is obviously yes...but reality is it probably ain't happening.

I think he's great. He just knows where to be and what to do at all times. It wasn't his fault United kept drawing every game.
July 10, 20179 yr I'd rather re-sign John Obi Mikel to play as a false 9 than have either of those two up front for us ...
July 10, 20179 yr rashford wouldn't hold the line for us, would rather have abraham. also, musonda would be a better wide player than rashford in a front 3, so makes no sense to even consider it.
