...................some more negative mumbling..............................and Willian waisted the ball when he eventually kick it out of play. ........................then some other rubbish

Didn't Willian put the ball out of play because there was an injured player on the floor?

Possession wins you nothing.  And how was the second goal "lucky"?  A clear penalty shout denied, followed by an attempt at a quick break-away by the Spuds, a turn-over in mid-field by a good pressing play, an excellent one-two on the edge of the box and a top-notch finish.  What exactly was lucky about it?

Agreed, possession wins nothing, but that 2nd goal was a lucky goal due to a goalkeeper error, I am of course happy we won, I wasnt expecting it, or even a draw to be hoinest

Longer than you have it would seem,,   I made my assumption on the Spurs game based on our totally gutless performance against Burnley

So if you discount the lucky goals, we would have won 1-0 instead of 2-1.  Would that have made you happier?

Yes, although we were battered in the first half and the start of the 2nd half, totally embarrassing really

Did you actually see our 10 men, then 9 men in the 2nd half against Burnley ?. It certainly was not a gutless performance.

Yeah I watched the whole game, first half, totally gutless & most should be ashamed to wear the shirt based on that,, , 2nd half much better with 9 men, but the damage had been done by then, Cahill, a total liability as captain ivho

I did, recently, seems my eyes are fine, but yours apparently arent

Come on, you must have seen us in this position many times over the years. We weren't battered, we had a game plan and stuck to it. We have been the masters at winning games without possession for a long time now. Battered is a team that loses 5-0, Tottenham didn't even force Courtois into a save. We outplayed Tottenham with top class defensively display.

So let me get this straight.

You have supported Chelsea since 1968.

The internet has been about for best part of a quarter of a century.

This forum has been here well over a decade.

But you turn up the day after we hammered the spuds claiming we were lucky, and then go on about possession in your first couple of posts.

If it smells like a spud, it is a spud.

And a very bitter one at that!

You'd think Spuds fans would have got used to losing to their bigger London rivals by now without still having to be so bitter :laugh2:

I doubt if any football supporter, from the era he/she says they are a supporter from 1968, would the use term "win lose or TIE". I stand to be corrected.

Second goal was nothing to do with a goalkeeping error - Though most people on the dribbling cock forum think it was, and they (you) was just unlucky.  Your midfielder got caught in possession by a well executed press, and then your shambolic defence got ripped through with skill and speed.  Finally, your goalkeeper got beaten at his near post by an unstoppable shot.  Same as he got beat at the far post by an unstoppable free kick.  Get to bollocks with your "lucky"

LOL, bit of a tragic board this isnt it when a counter opinion gets met with such comments, I know what I saw during the game, unlike some, I don't fool myself, I'm Chelsea through and through and always will be, but unlike some, I am also realtistic

Ah I can now add sad pathetic and deluded to my assumptions , I know what I saw, we were lucky to get the draw

What draw would that be?  You REALLY know what you saw?

What I saw was us defending for the bulk of the game, what match were you watching ?, I am of course delighted we got an unexpected (on my part) win
