Getting Giroud saved their window. Emerson may end up being a steal but hard to tell as he is not quite a proven product even in Italy.

I rate Barkley but not sure Conte does.

I would give it a B-. Decent buys for decent money that cover positions of need. Creative mid, striker and left wing back.

Pretty fair I would say mate. The grade really is variable depending on how Emerson recovers and Barkley develops. The latter needs the lampard position in a middle 3 imo.

Giroud I am confident will prove a really good addition.

Putting everything on the board is just to distract from his own mistakes, watching some of the games the last month and it’s been depressing, that’s just not down to players but how they are managed. Other teams in the league would love them players.

I know about Chabs, but I'm sure he could have stayed given assurances.  Obviously this is all hypothetical, and I know that he wanted more playing time, so I can't blame him for leaving.  I think the move for RLC is beneficial, but I also think if you look at the combined time that Baka and Drinkwater are getting, then RLC could have been here, filled quota, and avoided us spending.

As for who was available...i don't have a rolodex of players, but RIP Mourinho has listed a few below.  The main point is we could surely have looked to a couple of good players to come in, and filled squad and quota with youth team players

Completely agree with this, but my concern is that with the attitude Conte is displaying its hard to see how the new players can settle in and start producing their best. The manager needs to be the one setting the tone and lifting the players spirits, not sulking on the sideline and taking endless pops at the board.

I think its quite unfair to say that all signings are down to the board. Since Conte has arrived we've had a massive increase of signings and being linked to players from the Serie A. I doubt this is merely coincidence and Conte is clearly having a say in such dealings.

This transfer window has been very strange Everton Injured reject ,Arsenal injured reject ,Roma injured reject.
