If it’s proved rape allegations are false I don’t know why these girls aren’t going jail, ruining young athletes lives to get a payday if that is the case.

I mean they go back to hotels with young testosterone filled athletes, I’m in no way saying that means they can get forced into sex, but let’s be real what we’re they going there with the intentions of doing?

No wonder he has been off with this hanging over him and an injury. I had a case (not sexual) hanging over me when I was 18 and everything I did was half hearted until it was over, you can’t focus it’s just not possible.

Give him some time I think some people are way too harsh with him.

Because it's nearly impossible to prove false allegations unless the person who made it is an idiot and makes it obvious it is a false allegation.

Anyway, pleased it's not going any further. People on this forum overreacted when he was arrested. People need to remember innocent until proved guilty and understand that being arrested doesn't mean anything. It doesn't even mean the police think you did it, just that there was an allegation and they need to look into it.

Breaking lockdown isn't good, but it's not a big deal either.

He shouldn’t have broke lockdown or put himself in that situation but if anyone criticising him breaking lockdown, first he’s has the virus he can’t pas it on second second if anyone can with a straight face say at 19 if a stunning model wanted to come over to your house your first concern would be your commitment to the distancing rules of the government and that’s the only reason you tell this model sorry babe will have to wait until the health and safety situation is more clear, you’re lying to us or yourselves.

I’m not approving of what he did at all, but I can’t stand when people hold others to standards there is not a chance they would keep themselves.

It takes a lot of character to be young, loaded and have the girls throwing themselves at you and everyone kissing your arse to remain a humble and responsible person, That’s when you appreciate a man like kante, adored by all, loads of cash, and the most down to earth kind little geezer you could hope to meet, it’s easy to look form the outside and criticise people.

Don’t turn Calum into the next Raheem Sterling because the media would love that I can assure you, Sterling went school literally right behind my house I grew up in North Wembley and from what I hear he is a really nice kid but you would despise him if you read the papers..

Too many people form their opinions through media narratives (not just in Sport), it's a big problem.

Glad to hear he's cleared of all charges and any wrong doings. As I said, innocent until proven guilty.

Unfortunately, it took something like this for him to learn that he's just not any regular 19 year old kid. Looks like he had learned, and will come back stronger and put the focus where it needs to be.

The fact that rape goes underreported, and few rapists are actually persecuted and convicted, is horrible. That in itself though is not a reason to therefore distrust all persons being accused of rape but not prosecuted. That's hardly being on solid ground, or 'jumping to any conclusions... and got a lucky break'. That you wish to cast doubt on the decision not to prosecute and therefore his innocence, based on a random unsourced statistic, is despicable.

Talk about twisting matters to suit one's own agenda...

I think the intent of my post was misconstrued.

The person I was replying to implied that this proved he acted honourably. I was pointing out that it didn't. It didn't prove he acted honourably and it didn't prove he acted like a rapist. It doesn't prove the woman lied (as a later poster suggested). It proved nothing.

I get the feeling you dislike him, possibly due to some perceived actions during his contract negotiations so no matter what you aren't going to give him the benefit of any doubt. The fact that even before the police had started an investigation you wanted him out of the club shows you hold a grudge, and some of things your writing are ridiculous.

The highest paid player in the club should be our best player. CHO isn't and I don't think he has the ability to become that player. I've seen far too many talented young wingers turn out to be sh*t. Not just Chelsea, januzaj and macheda, anyone remember them?

So when I see us reward one of these young players with a huge contract and then he takes the piss by breaking lockdown and ends up being arrested for rape after a number of poor on field performances pre lockdown , it will take performances on the pitch to change my mind that we've not significantly f**ked up.

Obviously in the ground I'm not going to boo him. But if he wants to be the star then he needs to show it.

He's already shown more potential than Januzaj and Macheda was never any good to begin with.

And where's this highest paid player thing coming from?

Multiple reports have him on 180k, I don't see any evidence any other player is on more than that. Maybe he's not. Maybe he is. But he's not exactly on a prospects wage.

Anyway we are rehashing old ground.

We all hope he proves me wrong. My prediction is, and has been for a long time now, that he wont be at the club or a bigger club than us when his contract runs out. I'd love to be wrong.

Your post was in the best tabloit tradition: throwing in a 1 in umpteenth statistic, some waffle that concluding he got consent is a leap, concluding that (and I quote) 'It could well be that he wasn't (honourable) and got a "lucky break".' You imply a lot. And now that several posts have called you out on this ridiculous reasoning, you innocently hold up your hands,  claiming how you were merely highlighting both sides of the argument, the readers are to blame for 'misconstruing'.

How reasonable of you. Except there is no prosecution, let alone a conviction, so according to the law he is innocent, and that's how it is, no matter how you've tried to twist things into a 'he still might have done it'. Courts decide on that, all else is the first step on the slippery slope to vigilante justice.

I saw before that he's on 120k but I googled it and it's true, some websites do state that he's on 180k. Odd that we don't know for sure...

When I'm replied to someone who stated this proves he acted honourably, my language slipped in the other direction. Can I hold up my hands and apologise?

120k plus add ons is the widely rumoured estimate.

In my opinion your prediction will only come true if he carries on being riddled with injuries, otherwise he's (to quote Uncle A'rry) going right to the very top.

He's JUST come back from what would have been a career ending injury a few years ago, what on earth were you expecting him to come back and do? Score every game?

Had we let him move to Bayern and he'd pulled up Sancho-esque performances (which wouldn't be difficult in that league), you'd be the first to criticise the club for not keeping hold of him.

I fully expect you to hold RLC to the same standards should he not be getting MOTM awards in these first few games back.

Thing is, he hasn't actually been bad this season, he had a rut in the winter but was excellent either side of that.

1) I wouldn't have criticised the club. He put in a transfer request. I would have fully accepted the club selling for 30m then. I am not one of those fans who moans about KDB or Salah not playing for us.

2) RLC isn't on 180k a week and didn't put in a transfer request.

1) Easy to say when it never came to fruition.

2) Hudson Odoi isn't on close to that as a base salary, been widely reported its £120k base salary with performance related add ons. RLC's new deal last year is rumoured to be on about £150k a week, so there's that argument voided. Add to the fact RLC is 4 years older, he should come back and bag back to back hat tricks should he not? Or will you give RLC some leeway because you don't have a bizarre vendetta against him?

3 goals and 5 assists on the back of a achilles tendon tear. The lads just getting started.

I honestly believe his ceiling is higher than Sancho's, he has the pace and acceleration to match any winger, mature decision making (for reference see his assist for Alonso's winner vs Newcastle) and the creativity and vision of a central midfielder (see his assist for Tammy vs Southampton), if everything comes together for him then wow!

1) I can say it now. I have never slagged off the club for selling KDB or Salah or Lukaku. I never did it. I wouldn't do it. It makes no sense to me to slag off the club for selling a player that wanted to leave. Why would I then slag off the club for selling CHO?

2) Jesus. What is this weird interrogation. My problem with CHO doesn't extend solely to his performances in a 3 month period following an achilles injury. RLC doesn't compare.

Rubens attitude off the pitch in the last few years has been excellent. Ruben hasn't been caught with his pants round his ankles at 3 in the morning breaking lockdown trying to emulate wasters like Lacazette and Kyle Walker. Ruben hasn't been arrested by the police. Ruben didn't put in a transfer request. Ruben has actually performed for the first team on a consistent basis and was one of our best players last season. CHO has never been one of our best players.

I don't think CHO is at the level we are paying him. I don't believe that he will ever reach that level (I COULD BE WRONG, I'VE BEEN WRONG BEFORE, THIS IS AN OPINION) and I think in the next season he won't be a first team regular like Ziyech, Pulisic, Mount, Havertz (hopefully) or Werner. I base that off how he acts off the pitch and because when I've watched him I don't believe he has the composure to put away chances or make the final ball.

And because of his attitude off the pitch, because of his transfer request and because of his wage, I am not going to be patient and forgiving (on a chelsea forum where I can speak my mind) like I would with Mount, Ruben, Gilmour, Anjorin, Reece James.

Is that alright?!

I'd be quite happy if CHO becomes 50% of the player Sancho currently is. I find that sentence mad from someone I think is one of the more level headed posters on here. The two assists you point out? I don't get it. I've seen that from countless players.

How about the goal Sancho scored against Barcelona or his control, run and assist against Leverkusen. We're talking about two completely different levels here and players who are the same age.

Please bare in mind i'm saying ceiling, obviously Sancho's the better player currently.

Furthermore his assist against Newcastle is the exact type of situation i've often seen Willian balls up (and i'm far from a Willy hater), he had the composure to scan his surroundings and spot and then pick out Marcos.
