makelele was definitely not sure in his first season. That is ridiculous.

The 2003-2004 season, the one before Mourinho arrived. He wasn't half the player he became that term, probably due to the system he was playing under Ranieri.

Where are all the Batshuayi fanboys now? There is a reason he only gets 10 minutes when Morata is tired at the end of a game.  Whenever he starts, he makes my gran look like Pele, even with her broken hip.

Come on @Ernie_blue and @RIP Mourinho, defend your boy.

PMSL. You go quiet when Willian plays sh*te, then pipes up when he scores one goal. Pipe down. Morata was just as sh*te when he came. In fact the entire team was sh*te. Lets forget that though, time for you to score a few cheap points on an online forum though. Very small mentality from you, no wonder you're a Mourinho worshiper.

Not sure why you’ve got an attitude, you asked for one thing that hinted at his potential, that did. The injury was caused by contact with another player as I recall so had the square route of hee-haw to do with technique.

Yeah, sorry for being a bit snide, I just get pissed off with some of these muppets who keep slagging of the club for selling players who did nothing at the time to warrant being kept or replacing top internationals in the first team, but now, when these players have got older and more experienced and one (or possibly two) have turned out to be quite good, they are all wise after the event and abusing the club.  I looked back at the KdB threads at the time in here, and I can't find anyone at the time pleading his case and saying that he most definitely should be kept because he was a world-beater in the making.  Now all we have is a few people saying "waaa waaa waaa, it's not fair, he wasn't given a chance".  Usually the same people who are whining on about how bad Bakayoko is and should be got rid of, or how Batshuayi doesn't get a fair chance, even though he's piss-poor whenever he does.

So, sorry for an attitude towards you.

Fans pay for travel and tickets, they can do what they like.

Fans support the team, no matter what.  Tourists think they can do what they like, regardless.  Where do you fit in?

Fans pay money for travel and tickets, they pay the wages, if they want to boo they bloody well can. Not everyone has the attitude the manager and players are exempt from any criticism. Poor Conte and the players on millions a year getting some boos for a absolutely dreadful performance, like they really give a sh*t. Some people couldn’t even find critiscim if the club got relegated without any wins.

Regarding KDB you are talking about a totally different point. Most people say KDB wasn’t given a fair chance which is true, you say KDB did nothing to show he was going to be the player of today, of course he didn’t there’s 3 years difference and 2 clubs, it’s a ridiculous point. KDB was not given a fair chance but how it would have worked out no one has a clue or crystal ball, if we did Baka wouldn’t have started 1 game let alone 16.

Those fans with ironic cheers (and booing their own players) should know that they are likely to have their prejudices realised but they should really think what benefit it brings the team.

Support your players!

Honestly did not know that. Muted the game because I couldn't stand the commentary.

That's poor from some of the fans

I was at the game on Saturday and from where I was heard no booing. There were some sarcastic olès when he put 2 our 3 passes together however. Suppose you could take it as unnecessary but I think some supporters were making a joke out of their frustration.

I take the point at being frustrated after spending your hard earned money, that's fair enough. Especially an away game.

What I don't like is the signalling out of individuals and giving them a hard time (fair enough for opposition players!). It's self-defeating. Looking back at SWP, Kalou etc. I can't help but think that they would have played better for the team had they had support from the terraces. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Bakayoko frustrates me too but he has potential and I hope that potential is fulfilled while he's here. And btw, his beard doesn't bother me!

I was at the game also I was close to the Norwich supporters in the away end close to the Barclay stand and I didn't hear any booing Just the ironic cheers. The whole team was poor but Baka and Michy were by far the worst I have seen in a Chelsea shirt in a long time and believe me I have seen so really poor players in my 50 odd years watching Chelsea. Imho opinion I hope they both play against Norwich in the replay and they show everyone how good they  really can play

Excellent, that suits me better

Assuming we take care of Norwich at SB, should be a cracker an old work friend of mine went to midweek cup match against Newcastle at the bridge at least a decade ago and said it was rocking.

We won 2-1.

The key word!

I think we'll piss all over them at the Bridge. As bad as we were, they weren't much better, and they were at home. Even if Conte plays the exact same team, I can see us winning comfortably. Our attitude will be so much better at home.

No problem mate, I get where you’re coming from! I just answered the question because it’s the one stand out memory I have of him, other than that as you say, he was pretty unspectacular. The only big fault I would put on the club would be not having a buy back clause, but it seems like that taught us a lesson and most of our deals have one now which is good, minimises the risk of it happening in the future.
