CHO looks very impressive.

Hudson-odoi and jorginho looking fantastic. Not sure about Morata and Alonso.

Only pre-season but Morata hasn't changed. Moaning at the referee and wasting possession. 

 

CHO looooks amazing!!! Jorginho and Barkley and Zappacosta the other impressive players. 

Was a good start, lots of quick 1-touch passing, though seems to have tailed off a bit towards the end.

Hudson-Odoi good as usual, really hope he gets a proper chance this season.

Great strength and speed from Hudson-odoi there. Beautiful ball as well but Pedro just couldn't get to it. 

Agreed on Alonso. Looks very awkward and out of place in a high line. Clearly dislikes defending with space behind him.

Morata looks uninterested and first touch looks horrific. 

Alonso looks leggy and slow. 

Jorginho seems to suit that midfield role perfectly. Early signs look like a good signing. 

Barkley looks very fit. Looking forward to see more of him. 

Zappacosta has surprised me this half, looks dangerous getting forward. 

 

This is usual Jorginho. I don’t like Morata as central striker in this system.

Hudson-odoi is clearly a better player then Pedro. Pedro looks more tactically astute though which makes sense considering he is playing a similar role to the one he played at Barcelona. 

I know it's only a pre-season friendly, but already i can see that Hudson-Odoi > Willian.

I hope nobody from Barca is watching.

Like others have said, the three big ticks for that first half have been Hudson-Odoi, Barkley and Jorginho.  It may only be against Perth, but Jorginho looks so classy in midfield.  Happy for Barkley as well.  I know a lot of people weren't too thrilled with his signing, but there's no doubting his talent and if Sarri can get the best out of him he could be a massive asset to us.  And, of course, it's always great to see a kid take his chance, and CHO has certainly done that!

Tony Popovic is a very defensive coach and knows his stuff, so is never going to be easy for Morata tonight

 

I can't wait for Hazard to start playing under Sarri. Mouthwatering thought.

We have cut through them at will tonight. Morata has had chances but his poor touches and mistimed runs have screwed things up.
