Once again i'll ask, you've been on here for a week, how would you know what i apparently do on every thread? Why do you keep making new accounts when you get called out?

I dont know what you do on every thread, but I open to read some threads and I see you post in most of them, and most of the time its just some shameful mount defending going on...

whats this about making new accounts, I have only just joined a few days ago and not really that active. IIRC you accused me of being another user above as well, but it took me a few seconds to see one of those accounts you mentioned wasn't even a banned account so it makes even less sense that I am that user you are trying to say I am haha

This may be a surprise but as a member of the forum for this many years i do tend to post in most threads. I've correctly pointed out Mount has been bang average this season in his thread, i also correctly point out how good he was before and excessive hate.

I'm just a bit confused why, as a chelsea fan, you would take offence to defending a chelsea player?

Its mainly the hypocrisy that strikes me. We aren't allowed to critique certain players, as certain members will always defend him like for example Mount, however we're freely allowed to bash the likes of Auba, Lukaku and nobody bats an eyelid

I just think everyone is fair game to being criticised and nobody should get special treatment just because they might be from cobham and/or english

At his peak of form he is a formidable player, and strikes fear into any defence. Unfortunately he's to fragile, we haven't seen the best of him for some time, as whenever he plays, he's returning from injury and loath to go all out, this means he never gets a run of games to improve his match fitness and get his confidence in his recovery. And not at 100% he doesn't merit a starting place. It's a catch 22 situation, in a lesser team he would get the game time, but in an elite team it won't happen, there cannot be any passengers.

Criticism is fine if its substantiated, people are on here straight up lying about his work rate etc. to try to belittle his accomplishments.

If you can't see the difference between an academy player and mercenaries that have done nothing for the club like Lukaku, who spent more time moaning in interviews than trying to score for the club, that's your issue. Chelsea fans will always have more of an affinity towards players that have live and breathed Chelsea since they were 8 years old.

There's 2 sides to every coin and there are opinions on performances where some people might think 1 thing and other people another.

im not doing a direct comparison, but I just used lukaku as an example. Fans will always have a bit more affinity towards academy players but a line needs to be drawn about the level of bias there is towards then and which players. Just because they are from the academy does that automatically mean I have to rate every single one of them? No it does not. The academy was always supposed to be used to get the very best coming through to break into the first team and the rest we sell for profit. But the last few years fans have just wanted every single academy player to be shoehorned into the first team when most are either nowhere near ready or nowhere near good enough.

In reality we should be just promoting 1-2 of the very best if they are good enough to become a squad player and then eventually start - at the moment I would say James and Colwill are the 2 that from cobham that are at the level of the Chelsea first team. The rest are there to make money on, either by selling or loan. We make a lot of players who are good enough for championship/mid-lower table prem level - i.e a chalobah or a gallagher who will be okay at say, a crystal palace or something, but not for Chelsea. Mixing in the top cobham players like a James with quality recruitment from abroad/other clubs like an Enzo Fernandez is the way to build a great team. Starting 11 academy players will not bring us any success, and sadly thats the truth that a lot of our fans need to get into their heads.

And 'for someone who loves to bring up stats'? You've been on this forum since Wednesday, i've hardly posted in that time... @HazardousChoice @TimesUpPotter are you back again?

Well that's a lie as you managed to name drop me in multiple threads in that time which is particularly strange I've never even spoken to you.

Usually i ignore you, partly because of the low quality of your posts and partly because I burst out laughing everytime I see your name since someone showed me you actually thought you could invest in imaginary shares of footballers on football index and make money and I just can't take you seriously.  How can you even discuss football with a guy that thought he could buy shares in footballers? 🤣

But if you could refrain from accusing me and other members of the forum ( in this case @Big Nigel ) of being random people like you're on some kind of witch hunt that would be wonderful.  Thanks.

Christ how many accounts have you had on here if you're going back to football index days LMAO so you've either just admitted you're a banned account back under another name or you're sat in the pub scrawling back to posts from what? 2018? For what its worth i made a couple of grand off Football Index too, so turned out quite well in the end.

Im in the 35-40 range.

I would imagine most the members here are over 50 and seen plenty from other threads claiming to be quite a bit older

I'm 27 years old, stay in your lane old man.

then you must hang around too many old timers who have poisoned your brain

Or, hear me out here, people of all ages have differing opinions. Crazy i know, but maybe age has no relevance on peoples preference of players. My dads 56 and his favourite player in recent times was Mata, hardly known for his tireless energy and defensive work rate. You've dropped a right stinker here, old man.

It's called "being in agreement", not brought on by the length of time someone has been a forum member. Must be an alien concept to you, I've noticed balanced views are not your thing.

lets take this thread back on track then shall we...

Great performance from Pulisic for USA the other night. I know it was only Grenada but what a frustrating player, he clearly has the ability in him but injuries coupled with being so 50/50 when he does play you never know what sort of performance you'll get out of him.

I stand by saying that on his day though, he is definitely one of our best attackers

Romano reporting there is interest from Italy, Germany, and Premier League clubs.

CP is another example of not needing to sell off all the Cobham jewels to help our FFP situation. Sure we won't make a profit on the 57.6mill we spent on him, however his book value is 11.52mi, and given the interest in him and his marketability, am sure if our directors are competent, we can get 30mill plus for him.

CP, Kova, Mendy. Just those 3 alone could see us help our FFP situation by 55mill or more.

Napoli interested apparently.
