Christian Pulisic - Official

I think all you have to do is see how much we fell off when he was subbed out to realize he was playing well.

That wasn’t down to Pulisic himself, that was down to who came on in his place and how that effected the balance of play. Potter had an absolute disaster class in game management today.

If mount had the same performance he would be slated .. yes he completed a few take-ons- but fluffed the final pass everytime..

the issue was change in formation by being on CG instead of M2.

He put in a cross early in the 2nd half that was superb. If we had any natural centre-forward who was on their toes and prepared to actually attack the ball, would have been buried. We don't have that player.

Pulisic had a decent game yesterday.

Damn, I was out for my mums birthday dinner, and I’ve missed this years decent game from him. Hopefully I’ll catch next years.

He got the ball in the net too Snedger. Very decent finish. Unfortunately Felix was off-side in the build up.

Are we still paying Dortmund for Pulisic? Can we get a refund? or just pay someone to fly tip him outside st James' park, I say that because he'll nuke any aspirations a club has for silverware..

Amusing fact of the day :

Pulisic's Chelsea career - 7,891 minutes, 26 goals, 21 assists. 168 minutes per goal or assist

Mount's Chelsea career - 13,912 minutes, 33 goals, 37 assists. 199 minutes per goal or assist.

If Pulisic is being fly-tipped outside St James' Park, is Mount going with him ? 🙂

Sexyfootball... Can see why Mount wants out with fans like you about.

Is there a reason why Mount has played nearly 6000 minutes more than Pulisic since both becoming first team players at the same time? Can you really compare two different players? I regard Pulisic as a winger and Mount more a midfielder...

Did you have this same energy when Drogba and Hazard were getting booed by the home fans?

What do drogba and hazard have to do with Pulisic and Mount? I don't get that nor the point your making, sorry...

Because you're digging out supporters for criticising Mount so I was curious to if it was a blanket stance of yours or not.

You completely missed the point.

If you are going to have a pop at Pulisic for his performance, which for some reason is acceptable behaviour to you when others having what you perceive as a pop at Mount is not, then it seems very hypocritical of you to defend Mount so staunchly when Mount has worse output than Pulisic ?

Mount has played most of his Chelsea career in the front 3 or 4, so I think comparison is fair.

Sexy football. I don't think ive missed the point. I just don't get the comparison. One player has been intrinsic to us, the other has been intrinsic to the med staff. One was signed as a creative winger to replace hazard, the other has been moved across the park to accommodate Havertz. Don't see your point sorry.

You keep bringing this up on every thread Mount gets mentioned, Hazard got booed for a handful of games with Cesc and Costa out of loyalty to Mourinho at the end of his second stint when we were truly garbage and players clearly downed tools. Mount was getting absolutely hammered by fans on social media even when he was winning us the CL.

And you seem to be in every thread defending Mount with every breathe.

Mount gets hammered on social media by fans because of a large majority of our matchgoing older dinosaur fans (who dont use social media as much) seem to do everything in their power to defend him, so it naturally creates an argument.

As much as people seem to say he gets overhated, at the same time he is definitely over defended and over praised for things he has done. Its usually always 1 extreme or the other with Mount which I think lies the problem

Hardly defending him, i've said for months that Mount has been poor and shouldn't be starting currently.

So people on twitter personally abuse Mount because he's well liked by match going fans?

Hes been poor for 12-18 months, but people have only really starting turning on him in the past couple of months I would say.

I think that is definitely part of the reason he gets the extra stick. There have been many points in time when Mount would have a bad/average performance and it would get hyped up for almost no reason which causes people to react with saying it was bad in return, and it just snowballs from there with the views and counter views getting more and more extreme just to prove a point.

I personally for one don't think hes as good as some people claim. There were people calling him the next Lampard and he is nowhere near that level.

Saw rumor he's being offered to Napoli?

Any truth to this or just more silly pre-summer garbage?

Btw, he did have a fairly decent game on Saturday. Wasn't superb, but decent.

would assume its rubbish, but Kvaradona looks like a hot commodity for this summer for various top clubs so they might just be looking at potential replacements early. Not to mention the fact we are quite heavily interested in Osimhen as well.

I would assume its probably just a load of rubbish currently, but Pulisic has been linked pretty heavily with Serie A

The same people having been calling for his head since Lampard brought him in and the 'teachers pet' name started to stick because people didn't think he's earned the right to play for Chelsea.

Mount's bad/average performances over the years are what most are clamouring over Felix for doing.

There were of course people from the very beginning who didnt like him either, but it was a small minority but this season a lot more people have turned.

If you just look at Felix and Mount from a goal/assists point of view and just prioritise stats, then sure. But actually watch them play on the pitch and they are worlds apart as footballers in my opinion.
