March 11Mar 11 We're just Arsenal of the last decade or so, now. A banter team for opposition, who crumble against anyone half decent.
March 11Mar 11 More than anything they have made us a bit irrelevant. A mediocre mid table team with managers without personality, lack of team spirit, very little consistent flair and no real appetite for the fight. We are like an Everton or a Sunderland. Nobody cares about playing us or turns on to watch us.

A contender for top 6 and capable of making the off domestic semi-final.

March 11Mar 11 Bad results come and more fans turn to the BlueCo Out message.Good results come and most are swayed back to giving them another chance.Things won't change until most of us and, most importantly, the match going fans, take up the message and keep with it win, loss or draw. And if they are happy with us being as @loz described us, then that's where we stay. Or Worse, we do as Spurs are doing now.

March 11Mar 11 What has this sh*tshow got right since they came in? Genuinely? They made a few nice signings, but it's been cancelled out by 50 sh*t ones. One of them is on a drugs suspension and driving ban, another one who also has a driving ban with more points on his licence than appearances in a Chelsea shirt. They can't get a shirt sponsor. They took on a massive debt. The stadium plans are going nowhere. They've landed the club in trouble with UEFA multiple times. They haven't hired a single good "head coach"The coaching staff is made up of Kinetic rookies that should be in League One at best. A bunch of mates rates w**kers. The board is made up of complete sh*tters, especially the two biggest sh*tters of the lot, Winstanley and Stewart. They removed almost everybody involved in the club under Abramovich because he was oh so terrible at running a football club (twats)They put out bullsh*t media PR bo**ocks every time they are made to look like the clowns they are. They are going to ruin the academy and they are already well on their way to ruining the women's team too.So much for the FA's fit and proper test, although, maybe I can't blame them, they were probably powerless. It's our sh*thouses in the government trying to score political points with their EU buddies and gullible twats that keep voting for them in this country. Absolute c**ts, the lot of them.

Our fanbase is fickle.

March 12Mar 12 They've taken away the life from me. After we lost last night, I just felt depressed, didn't feel angry or annoyed, just depressed at the thought of the inevitability of it all. The Club has been bought by people with no knowledge of football or European sport, who have put in place a mediocre football plan, with mediocre SDs to lead it, and a mediocre coach and team. And there's no reaction from any. It's just mid table fodder. It is depressing.

Collect assets, borrow cash against them to avoid tax etc. Abramovich would have done the same, it's not as if he had 10bn sitting in the bank in cash. BlueCo in general raise money both by borrowing cash against their assets but also by issuing equity or the promise of equity - for example, they made a big payment-in-kind deal with Ares Management that involves cash now for a future stake in any stadium redevelopment.I wouldn't worry about Clearlake's finances just yet, no more than anyone else exposed to the AI bubble. Let's not forget that Chelsea FC is just one asset in Clearlake's ~$90bn worth of assets, in other words, less than 5% of their stable. We are little more than a blip, a passion project, a side hustle for Clearlake just as likely to have been purchased for vanity reasons as financial ones. We are probably no more than a means to offer corporate hospitality to their stakeholders or a marketing ploy to increase investment. To me at least, it explains why they care so much more about doing things their own way than footballing or financial success, because that would result in the largest overall business gain. I'd be curious though, since American private equity funds often rely on cash injections from sovereign wealth funds like Saudi Arabia's PIF, does that mean that PIF or the Qatari/Emirati equivalent can exert some influence on Clearlake? If Newcastle wanted a player and we wanted a player, could they effectively blackmail Clearlake by withdrawing funding? After all, financially we are a drop in the ocean for Clearlake, and the Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds don't care about profit, they care about reputation washing. There's no public information about the clauses, just speculation that was published by The Athletic/NYT. There's no actual evidence that BlueCo can't sell for 10 years or that there is a debt limit. Enforcement is a problem because I would think it would be up to the parties to the contract. Would Abramovich himself be the one responsible for enforcing it? Some of the issues could be enforced by the new government football regulator, as the club now operates under licence from the UK government and therefore that licence could be revoked from BlueCo and sold to a new owner. Any legal dispute would leave the club in a similarly terminal limbo as 2022. I just assume the clauses don't exist and/or are unenforceable. Thanks for another informative post mate. 👍

March 12Mar 12 There is a reason no top manager, despite a few being interested over the years, wants to work at our club anymore.
