March 31Mar 31 I've not once wished ill will on my football club, but I am 100% sure they will double down on their approach if we qualify for the Champions League.
March 31Mar 31 Any player worth their salt would be heading for the exit. Only players who don’t want to win anything or not good enough to be in title winning teams will hang around

He is a player that has some ambition and wants to win things with Chelsea. I am sure it is frustrating for some of the more established players to see that we seem to be stuck in the "development" phase.
March 31Mar 31 I for one will miss Marc when he is sold in the summer. Hes gone after this, for sure.

March 31Mar 31 Cucurella saying exactly what we, the Chelsea fans, have said over and over again here and all over the other social media platforms. The core is built on young players already, no need for new young ones on top of that. This squad now needs some experienced players in key areas to finally make things click. A top GK is needed, a very good pairing at CB is needed to add to an already world class pairing of full backs (James and Cucurella). A very good and experienced partner is needed for Caicedo and a top winger to add to Enzo, Palmer and Joao Pedro in the attacking areas.Fans have voiced their concern, players have, too during the past weeks, journalists have and people in English football that are not even Chelsea fans.If after all this BlueCo continue their stupid policy of bloating the squad with 5 new youngsters worth over 200M this summer, I simply give up and accept nothing will ever change until they are gone.

March 31Mar 31 I've always said, there doesn't need to be some massive overhaul in their strategy, just sign a few ready made winners and a top manager and they can carry on in the background with their youth and Strasbourg obsession. If this happens we can be back challenging for the top honours in no time, but if things carry on as they are there's no chance and the good players that we do have will just leave because of the lack of logical ambition. There's no doubt there was ambition given the money we've spent, but the way it's been spent has been so stupid, it's been like building a car with great materials and then not bothering to buy an engine.
March 31Mar 31 The start of a bad week for them for sure, with the accounts for 24/25 due to be published shortly !

There isn't a club in the two top divisions outside of us where Rosenior is seen as the solution. The SD's, they must laughing all the way to the bank each month. When you run a team on data, and believe that the manager/coach is way down the pecking order, prepare to fail.

That is my take also. If their wages were guaranteed, and they were getting parity with their peers they wouldn’t be mouthing off to the press. Might be a coincidence but all this kicked off when James signed his new contract and did that weird mini press release on behalf of Blue Co. In Cucurella’s case I do wonder if the intention was to sell him this summer anyway, it was strange improving his contract and not extending the length.
March 31Mar 31 Only thing I hate seeing, is the use of ‘young players’, I know Cucurella can’t exactly come out and say “they are signing sh*t players” but, it’s not about signing young players, we had the same average age as PSG for those UCL games, and got annihilated by other young players.

April 1Apr 1 Can anyone fact check me here - by my count Blue Co have only sold 2 non-Cobham players at an actual profit since 2022 - Madueke (£55m) and Angelo (€10.1m)?

Stockpiling 8 wingers that range from 18 to 22 completely defies the strategic model rhetoric and shows the plan up to merely be a puppy mill. Then overpaying in all areas of the squad for what are largely run of the mill second jobber academy graduates does not a stable of world beaters make.
