They were grasping at straws and desperate for anything to come off at this point. Can't blame them, all we want is to enjoy watching Chelsea play football again.
April 8, 20233 yr I know, we all do, but with the turd players we have, as i said earlier it doesn't matter who's in charge things wont change.
April 8, 20233 yr Sacking Tuchel is Brexit levels of stupidity. One impose economic sanctions on themselves the other impose “no winning anymore” on themselves. I remember when Gary Neville called them out and I thought he was just being bitter but he was 100% correct what a absolute bell ends they are, know nothing about football come in sack the manager who got us a CL and replace him with a wet paper bag. They f**ked Chelsea for another few years!!! American owners are so sh*te!!!
April 8, 20233 yr Which top coach / players are going to want to risk joining Chelsea? Bear in mind packages are going to get less attractive

April 8, 20233 yr It is mind-boggling how poor this rebuild have been handled. Sacked the actual manager that was right for us, hired the wrong manager (twice), spent £600 million on wrong players that haven't improved us and we are now facing sanctions for breaching financials rules while sitting in 11th place and sinking. I am sure some have mentioned it before but we may be going down the Everton route. Some of them were all excited for a period of time when their new owners spent £300m + on what proved to be absolute dross and now they can't spend, have a sh*t squad and are fighting relegation. Bring back Roman!
April 8, 20233 yr Now Todd has appointed a team to oversee football matters it will be them who make decisions on football related issues. Todd had spent record amounts on new players and I remember the universal glee in the January window from fans. I hope he has learned that he is not experienced enough and take a back seat from now on

Bring back Roman! We're only returning to how we were before Roman. But still spending like Roman's days !

Before Roman, it was actually really exciting being a Chelsea fan, even if we weren't exactly financially stable. Winning cups on a regular basis for a club of our size, good players that wanted to be here and would give their all to win, one of them being the most exciting player in the league in Zola. Competing for European spots. I would take that over this sh*tshow any day.

April 8, 20233 yr Top managers should stay away, this ownership talk a big game and spend big money but they don't have a clue what they are doing. Unless they wanted to make us the biggest laughing stock in all football, in which case they have done a great job.

I suspect managerial candidates will want some generous contracts to join at this point.

Not necessarily, it's been their first season in ownership, we can cut a bit of slack. And this is a team full of talent, there are plenty of managers who think they can come here and do something with this side. It's not as though we've lost all of our best players and we have no more resources. I would say back when Sarri left, there weren't many managers who wanted to touch us, Hazard gone, transfer ban, lots of players passed their best and we had to integrate youth. Which is why Lampard got the nod, at the time it was a good choice. Not many top level managers wanted to take that kind of risk. What risk is there right now? Nobody can do worse than this current season.

But I think a lot of it depends on who we bring in, they need to get the correct manager next season. We can't risk experimenting with someone else like we did Potter. It's not easy, Nagelsmann looks the top candidate but even he is gamble given his age and recent Bayern spell. This team is too good to go backwards or even stay the same. I think a new season, a competent manager and we will be back up there.

Of all the players to ever have played for Chelsea, I don’t think there’s any that gave me more joy as a fan than Franco.
