The man took us to the 1/4 finals of the CL beating AC Milan pretty handily, the same AC Milan who beat Tottenham and thrashed Napoli the other day. The board listened to the fans, yet the fans are still whining. People will never be happy unless we are beating teams 3/4-0 every game and winning trophies every year. They are looking for a new manager to take over next season, so we have to just suck it up and deal with the sh*t this season unfortunately. Potter is the worst manager that we have ever had, no amount of "He took us to the 1/4 finals of the CL" coping can fix that.

After the fiasco of the Everton game where he made stupid negative defensive and truly incompetent substitutions in the last few minutes costing us 3 points there was no way back for him with me.

Many of our new money fans have no patience or perspective. They DEMAND RESULTS NOW....and god help anyone who doesn't get them.
April 10, 20233 yr It’s not about the current results only. It is also about the bigger picture. For example, I am very annoyed by the fact that there’re players who won’t be here next season and still get plenty of minutes. Why? Also, the owners themselves admit that there is “a sh*tshow” and everything is chaotic. There are talks about FFP related issues, then there is the stadium saga. Then there is the fact that we do not know who the next permanent manager will be. This is what’s bothering fans, the lack of hope for a better and calmer future.
April 10, 20233 yr Appears these accounts were signed off back in October, so the owners had full knowledge of these figures before their spending spree in January. They must have massive sponsorship deals on the horizon. Also gives more indication that they truly want to clear house this summer. Mount likely as good as gone giving he will fetch the most profit value. Recently read Burnley are prepared to buy Maatsen for up to 40m. Not sure if that is pure profit. He was signed for £95K I believe !
April 10, 20233 yr About this supposed Corden stuff. Almost every even remotely decent source basically say Boehly is at best a second in command to Eghbali these days (I say at best because from what I can gather he's one of those bosses where being a second in command to him may aswell be an employer). Even if this story that "broke" in the sun (ffs) was true he'd have to get it past Eghbali, a bloke who ground Rui Costa down in negotiations would okay something Corden suggested? Sound plausible!

It would be pure profit yes, though would Burnely really spend 40mill on a left back? We got Chilwell for 10mill more. If they seriously offer that take it, let's dig ourselves out of this financial mess. In theory we could make a lot of just 4 youth players that are not playing for us now, with one being due to contract issues. Mount, Trev, Maatsen, Gallagher. If Maatsen really can fetch 40mill then we could get a total of 150mill pure profit easily. Though I really rate Trev and Mase and would sooner they stay. Edited April 10, 20233 yr by axman2526

The Sun has linked a supposed friendship to say " it is believed" that Corden is responsible for Frank's appointment. This is now being laughed about on Talk sport and saying the club haven't denied it yet A distraction we don't need , I'm dreading Frank being quizzed about it in the presser pre Madrid game. Jesus , I don't blame everyone believing it ( it may be true TBF) because the unbelievable seems to be normal for us

April 10, 20233 yr Andy Goldstein has just suggested that Todd sacked the groundsman on advice from Jimmy Carr 😁😁😁
April 10, 20233 yr Surely we need patience in a season of transition? Let's wait and see what the new groundsman does with the pitch before we rush to judgement.
April 10, 20233 yr I really pity the the bloke that actually wasted their time and effort in fabricating such a ridiculous rumor. What a sad individual.

April 11, 20233 yr Apparently several "financial experts" are reporting that, if we don't make lots of money this window, we will be in hot water with the authorities.
April 11, 20233 yr The James Gordon thing maybe a bit of wind up from the media or social media, but Boehly and his buddies have been making things up as they go this season. It's not a surprise crazy stories like that come out. Without a miracle in the CL, we will be in trouble next season financially, it's coming to a year since they took over, can't blame Roman for everything.
