We'll go down the Everton/Leeds route in the coming seasons. Don’t think so it’s just an expensive lesson for these Americans in football and thinking it’s baseball. We will be back just going to take few years and burning pockets from the investors. I am glad they are getting f**ked just unfortunate it’s us on the other end of their stupidity and bad decisions.
April 15, 20233 yr Boehly should step away from any football role he has at the club. He should not be involved in any more decisions around football. Pretty well every decision he has been involved in has been awful. We should almost do the opposite of what he decides.

There was a report in January/February that said he was stepping away from his role as the interim sporting director but all the reports point to him still being massively involved in the club's decisions.

April 15, 20233 yr This is hard to watch. Absolute car crash under the new owners. Hope it improves, which is sad that all we have is hope.
April 15, 20233 yr We are a complete joke now, this is very very serious crisis. Worst we have seen for years. The owners have caused a serious problem by blowing £600m in a year trying to form a new team basically overnight. Should have budgeted £250m each year over 3 years to do this. Now are in deep sh*t as far as results go, and will be in deep sh*t come FFP soon enough.
April 15, 20233 yr For me, the spine of the team would be: Mount James Chilwell Kante Silva (for however long he is here) W.Fofana E.Fernandez Then a few of the new signings like Mudryk, Madueke, Badashile. The rest can be sold, but they shouldn't be near the first team. Too much money wasted on trash just picking up their paycheque each week for awful performances.

This is now about the money for them and saving face. It won't shock me if the club isn't put up for sale as soon as they can legally do so!!
April 15, 20233 yr We need to sell: Havertz Ziyech Pulisic Sterling Kovacic Cucurella Gallagher Because we are full of players not doing their job properly, it's embarrassing they can call themselves good or even top players. Edited April 15, 20233 yr by enigma

But harsh on Gallagher, he may run around headless but at least he gives a sh*t.
April 15, 20233 yr He's realising the fans have turned on him, which will get more toxic. https://twitter.com/TheBlueDodger/status/1647272851660062721?s=20 Edited April 15, 20233 yr by El regreso

Cant blame the players when theyve had 3 coaches in a season. Must be perplexing for the new players and unsettling for the old ones. We first and foremost need a good coach to say which players he wants before any sales. These players are not bad players and just need good coaching!
April 15, 20233 yr Todd probably still thinks that the lower we finish the better chance we have at a high draft pick.

Other than a couple of buys, I refuse to believe all the money we've spent is a waste. I think with the right manager, a lot of these players will be playing much better than they are.

April 15, 20233 yr Just shows how important the managerial decision is. Most of the other decisions haven't been bad at all, finally getting in a proper recruitment team with Vivell, going after young stars the way we did in 2012-2014 have all been good choices. Since Vivell came in the signings have been good, with Enzo and Badiashile looking extremely promising. But the 3 managerial decisions have all been awful, sacking Tuchel, hiring Potter and then hiring Lampard has made our 600m of recruitment absolutely worthless. This squad is better than last season's. But we replaced an elite manager with an average manager, and now an utterly incompetent manager. The sooner we bring a top coach in, the sooner we can fix this.

Are you telling me Aston Villa, Brighton, Southampton have better players? Absolutely not it’s the captain in charge that’s the problem!!

Geniuinely the only poor big money signing has been Cucurella. You could argue Koulibaly as well, but he was only 30m and we needed an emergency replacement for Rudiger. Sterling looked great under Tuchel (5 G/A in 7 games) before Potter started playing him LWB, Enzo and Badiashile look fantastic, Santos and Madueke look promising for England/Brazil. Mudryks talent is clearly there, though he is rusty. Felix for a loan has been decent (as long as we don't buy him), and Carney/DDF have both looked promising for their age. Yes, there is a lot of deadwood to be cleared out, but the signings have mostly been upgrades on what we had before.

Whoever the new manager is would have a hell of a job figuring it out in a month; 30 first team players (excluding Felix & Zakaria), 8 players on loan, 2 pending new signings (Nkunku & Gusto), 11 u21s out on loan (in. Colwill, Maatsen, Casadei) and the u18s who are prime for 1st team football. That is potentially 50 players on the first day of training, it really is a clusterf***.
April 15, 20233 yr Any chance we can force them to sell to Sir Jim or Qatar anytime soon? I am afraid with these clowns we might be playing Wrexham after 10 years of their reign
