Ah see I'm biased because it's not that far from me 🤣

The proposed new Roman Abramowitch stadium had a large percentage of corporate and some other seating for golden members or something similar in the design. .

Spurs, despite the increase in match day revenue want to stop new senior citizen concessionary  season tickets completely from next year and then gradually increase existing senior tickets so that they are the full price. West Ham want to do similar and also stop the concessions for younger fans too

This brings relatively little extra revenue, but has a large impact on fans .

Like you, I think a bigger stadium for regular fans would be great, but it seems the trend is squeeze us. I'm not saying our owners are exactly the same as Spurs or Hammers owners, I believe they are much better, but time will tell

Happy Christmas Bisright 1 !

EDIT... Sorry mate , I think I should have sent that to RMH !

I don't trust our owners, or any owners, to look after the fans

I just think a better stadium brings us 100m+ revenue a year. That protects us from a bad owner f**king us over.

I genuinely think 10 years with ratcliffe and no new stadium would see us become West Ham. A club that is outside looking in.

We have the owners. But eventually that will change. If we don't have long term revenue, we will drift into mid table.

But our amortisation wheeze counts as a cost under financial rules.

It's now a cost of £205m a year.

The financial rules are a mess anyway when you think that it's now ok to spend billions on a bigger stadium just to take in an extra £100m plus a season.. anyway, have a good Christmas mate.

Come on you BLUES !

Private equity groups like Platinum Equity and Clearlake Capital face increased default risk according to Moody's.

The report from Moody's highlights that the recent interest rate increases are significantly impacting the assets of fast-growing private equity groups. Clearlake, co-owner of the Chelsea Football Club, and Platinum Equity exhibit the highest debt ratios among the companies examined. While other companies have started to reduce their debt, these two groups continue to struggle with high leverage ratios.

Aye, I have a lot of venom to spew here but I won't, everyone is hurting. Don't want to add to it.

Agree. For all the money spent we desperately miss some leadership and a solid spine. While Conor may have had some limitations, we miss his energy in games like today.

Get us some leaders in January, the squad is crying out for world class signings at the back. Need 1-2 proper defenders and a trust worthy keeper. A VVD/Ruben Dias/Saliba type of CB to marshal everyone could be the difference between top 4, top 6 and failing to make Europe next season.

OK... So, the list below represents 419 MILLION pounds of talent. 519 if we included Fernandez, he's a regular but pretty poor most games, left him out until the end. Some have left, some will leave some just arent premiership level, some cant leave the physio table and will leave, and some may come back and play but most likely wont and will leave. Out of this list, we can discount any more for mudryk, we wont get a fee for him. Fair question to ask: Who will pay what we have paid for this lot? Not like we can sack the board is it.

It is shocking at how many players signed initially just havent stepped up.

Rahem Stirling 48 million  - no longer at the club

Koulibaly 33 Million - no longer at the club

Solina 8 million - not at club?

Chukweumka 20 Million - Being offered to any club

Casadie 16 Million - cant get game time

PEA 16 Million - twat

fofana 75 Million - too injured to be considered a good signing

Badeshiell 35 million - shame, started well, ending badly

Mudryk 62 Million - wtf

Jimmy Jay Morgan (Who?) 3 Million (who)

Lesley 20 Million (loan)

Disasi 38 Million (likeable but not very good)

Washington 14 Million (???)

Petrovic 12 Million (Loan

Kellyman 19 Million (scratch my back I'll scratch yours villa)

Fernandez, 100 million

That was the plan below...... perhaps loans for both before they return and boss the midfield ?

😁

this is what a lot of people wanted: to buy players a stage earlier before they become very expensive

Chukwuemeka + Casadei is our potential future midfield duo

If this works we would have a midfield 2 for around 30 million pounds

It's a real shame thiago Silvas time at the club didn't coincide with this season, would have been absolutely perfect in this team.

Well, he left to help his boyhood club avoid relegation and they managed to do it.

Can cheekily ask him if he wants to come on a 6-month deal.

Funny that you didn't have that venom when we were in second position 2 weeks ago. The sky was blue, the birds were singing and we were back on our way to the top. Now the first bad patch this season it's back to calling the owners 'clownlake', the players are all sh*t and Maresca is a championship manager.

It's ridiculous on here now, match day threads especially are a joke filled with knee jerk f**kwitisism.

I think their view on these signings are more akin to how US sports view players.

They probably don't view these signings the way we are accustomed to. They probably view these players as assets to be traded or cashed in, that's why youth players are considered "pure profit" in their eyes

Not sure that viewpoint works in English football. the pure profit does in financial terms, but selling our youth team hasn't strengthened the team, I think it's weakened it.

Despite a very good run, there are deficiencies in this squad exposed by three of the weakest sides in the Premiership.. Despite my defence of Jackson, who I rate highly (sorry for the new years heart attack with this statement Jim), I appreciate we need a different type of striker for teams that set up differently.

The fact that Gallagher is playing in a side topping la liga and is a regular starter, his replacement from Atletico is struggling for minutes and meaningful contributions on the pitch.

Chalobah has improved Palace's defence and is chipping in with goals. We cant decide between Badesiell and Desasi we cant keep Fofana fit as yet. All have epic mistakes in them.

Kepa, who is a bit of a clown, is proving to be the better keeper out of all 9 of them on our books. I dont even know how much that outlay has cost.

If theyre just assets, i fully expect Palmer to be off when one of the big clubs come sniffing around. Hell, If City offer 150milion to correct their mistake, CFC going to turn that down?

Washington was singed by the new owners and 12 months later was in the bomb squad wth England Left back Ben Chilwell, who's treatment is bordering on scandalous.

Anyhow, I guess im saying the grass isnt greener, the financial model is already broken if we cant shift these players on and clubs take advantage and selling the youth team has weakened the club despite the league position.

Lets hope the players find form and we kick on second half of season.

I'm delighted with the manager and generally with the style of football we are now playing. I'm not even to bothered too much about our run of poor results because we are far ahead of what I expected with a manager in his 1st PL job and with a young team

But that doesn't wipe out my feelings of unease about the way the club has been run under our new ownership.  Amortisation costs of over £200million a year for one. There are other issues that I don't like , but I'd be more than happy to be wrong about them, I'm consistent about my opinion on them regardless of results this season.

Now, let's get behind the football team !

Come on you BLUES !

Point well made, I'll change it to "the sky is slightly less grey, the birds are a bit less annoying and we're slightly less terrible than the last 2 seasons"
