No, we don't have our Chelsea back.

It is still this ownerships Chelsea, and we won't get our Chelsea back until they are gone.

It depends which Chelsea we are talking about I suppose. Certainly not the Chelsea under Roman. Maybe Ken Bates era.

Fair point, though I was proud of who we were under Uncle Ken. The boys, more often than not, really did give everything, even if they were limited by being not that good, at times.

In my opinion it is important to remember the phrase the owners, and their people, have used that we got sick of hearing.

Trust the process.

They set their stall out early, and have made it clear they are going to die on that hill.

Jose Feliciano laid out what that hill is early on. You can look up his interview if you wish to, but he clearly said business (making money) comes first, and sporting achievement is secondary.

It is what it is.

Borson's been predicting our demise for years, and it never happens.

Meanwhile he plays down what's going on with his beloved Citeh.

Eventually though we really did have a very good team with Bates as our owner   We were great to watch and won a few cups . Zola, LeBouf, Vialli, JFH , RDM , Gullit and others were brought in by Bates and those players were far far better than the ones we've wasted  fortunes on these days.

  • Hall is better than all the LB's we have.
  • We're in the process of bringing Chalobah back because he's better than all the CB's we bought.
  • Livramento is better than Gusto.
  • CHO is better than Neto/Felix/Mudryk
  • Tammy would probably have a higher return than Jackson in this team.
  • Gallagher is better than Enzo Fernandez.
  • Fofana and Lavia chronically injured.

What was actually the point of spending all this money other than to boost the new owners ego and flex their financial power?

After all they did to Trev in the summer they end up crawling back to him.

What an utter shameless and shambolic lot we have running our once proud club.

Disgraceful.

f**king awful treatment of the guy , frozen out of the first team squad, sent on loan, then we call him back to our club who had not long ago made it clear to him that he wasn't wanted here..

Yes, Disgraceful and shameful

Who are the people at the top making the decisions? Do we still have those Brighton lot up top? Not sure why we ever thought that following the Brighton model was something to aspire to. How about the model we once had of winning trophies and aiming high?

Also, what a waste of money Mudryk, Sterling, Fofana, Pedro Neto, Nkunku, Dewsbury-Hall, have been. That's about £300m+ spent on players who haven't/don't score anywhere near enough. Madness.

Many won't want to watch the following video because of who it is.

However I think he is bang on about the Trev situation:

I cannot disagree with what he is saying. Bottom line we can now put out 3 Cobham academy graduates (Colwill/Chalobah/Acheampong) that would be better than any of the central defensive signings the owners have made. An exception can certainly be made for Fofana but he is continually injured.

Had Fofana had a clean bill of health after joining absolutely. These injuries are killing his game, imo. Much like how Broja has become a league 2 level forward after his horror injury.

Yes. As good as he potentially was, it was a high risk signing given his injury record. Especially at such a price.

Didn't Fofana break his leg rather than anything which would make him more susceptible to similar future injuries? (I should know, I was there for that pre-season game against Villarreal, it was horrible).

I could be wrong but I think Fofana did some ligament damage in addition to the leg break at Leicester.

Update on the Roman finaic stuff from Ben Jacobs. Looks like we’re avoiding sporting sanction:

”Chelsea are currently negotiating with the Premier League over a financial settlement for historical irregularities under Roman Abramovich, first flagged in 2022 when Clearlake-Boehly took over the club, as @martynziegler revealed.

Chelsea have already reached a €10m settlement with UEFA.

As previously reported, a settlement with the EPL was always an option as opposed to a sporting sanction.

Clearlake-Boehly set around £100m aside from the original sale price to deal with the matter.

Issue was self-reported by Clearlake-Boehly following due diligence back in 2022.

Several other clubs supportive of the situation knowing it was an inherited issue.

Matter expected to be resolved in Q1 with Chelsea hoping to avoid a sporting sanction.”

Todd insisted that Fofana had to fly to America for his medical.. with medics that he "thrusted"

Really awful for Fofana to have had so many injuries, don't know where his career goes now, it would be great if eventually he overcomes the problems.

Like Ledley King I think he would have been one of the world's top CBS.

His body has put a stop to that now.

But isn't there still an ongoing investigation  into other misdemeanors that came to light from the leaked " Cyprus papers", that are a separate issue to the self reported stuff?

Or maybe they were investigated together ,?
