Then forget top 4, cause we ain't signing one. Unless you count the Kazak kid who won't be here until 2026.

Liverpool, Arsenal, City and Newcastle will clearly finish above us, we just need to hope that the Prem gets the 5th sport and Forest and Bournemouth drop off.

Villa could be interesting too. See how they use the Duran money.

May well do, it is assuming they do go ahead with signing him, and Disasi.

If Duran goes through there is a good 67mill they have access to right now, I would imagine we will want a profit on Felix, to at least claim we did "good business" on it.

Maybe we will want 50mill. Would be another black eye to loan Disasi and sell Felix at a loss or break even.

@axman2526 It will be interesting to know what happens with season tickets in the future. Could they be phased out and seats sold on a first come, first saved basis? Dynamic pricing? Something the U.K. Government is planning to stop but then governments say a lot of things. Apologies for getting too political.

Do clubs - and Chelsea is not alone in this - need and respect season ticket holders and especially those who have been following the club for more years than they care to remember. I can't speak for all season-ticket holders but as for me and those I go to the games with we rarely visit the shop and drink and eat in the ground. If more and more tickets go on general sale more money will probably be spent in the shop and bars.

Not to sound like a c*nt, (Munk will tell you I am but that's beside the point),  I honestly don't believe the ownership gives a toss about people like yourself, Chelsea through and through, CPO, season ticket holders, members etc.

They are not alone in this, am sure the Glazers are exactly the same with united fans. If they could do away with season tickets and members and fill the stadium with tourist and people willing to pay 400% or more mark up on tickets and have a stadium of silence (minus the away fans) they would absolutely do it, imo.

I mean if they only got 30,000 average attendance at bridge doing so, for example, but got 400% more per ticket, then that is the same as if they had 120,000 people paying regular price.

So if these ticket websites can deliver the numbers they want, why spend any money on developing or building a new stadium?

It would be even worse to find out one of these ticket sites is already selling tickets for every game this season at massively inflated prices before anything is on the official site!

What would make that even worse if one of the club owners is a director on that ticket site!

Yup, the 20 minute video of Johnny and Younes I shared exposed that fact.

Though most of the forum probably has not watched it cause... you know.... Johnny Minerals

Sabotaging a direct rival by conning them into paying for Félix (or swapping him for a superior player) would be the best thing our ownership have done for the club to date.

Fixed that for you pal.

Here's a shorter video about the tickets mate:

I suggest people like yourself, @Boyne and anyone else who is a member or ST holder watch this and see how the club think about you and plan on making extra money.

This is not an opinion piece, on social media BS as DKW would say, it is facts show about real ways to buy tickets long before they should be on sale.

What a nice boost of confidence an hour before I venture into the VWR, already knowing my chances are virtually none to get a ticket.

Disgusting. How to ruin a club in 10 easy lessons.

Since the new owners got in, getting tickets for games (home and away) is becoming a very difficult mission. My supporters club gets always less than half the tickets he asks for (and all separated when we all used to sit in the shed lower together), and the VWR and (surprisingly) the ticket exchange is impossible. From my own experience, I'm sure that there are bots getting any available ticket in the ticket exchange (I spent a week trying and every time I got one it became unavailable as I was trying to either secure it or pay for it).

Oh god, I was pinning my hope on the ticket exchange where I've always managed to nab a ticket before.

Hopefully it will work out for you.

Almost certainly where we are headed :

https://www.visualcapitalist.com/nfl-ticket-cost-inflation-over-the-last-decade/

More than ever, attending an NFL game is becoming a luxury commodity.

In 2023 alone, average ticket prices jumped 8.6% to $120. Driving up costs are new stadiums, which are being built with fewer seats as luxury boxes and premium seats take up more space. The newly-built Allegiant Stadium, for instance, which hosted last year’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas, has 65,000 seats—one of the lowest in the league.

The player transfer policy is starting to hurt us now, with fair and reasonable talk of such a player might not want to join us to sit on the bench etc etc

We all know its just about commercial matters and very little to do with team/squad requirements.

A few strategies have been deployed

-buy everything young with potential

-sell everything of value to avoid PSR problems

-trade as much as possible via swaps to avoid PSR problems

-loan in and out as much as possible to negate the lack of ability to sell players for more than we have bought them for

-look for more new strategies/tactics to keep trading players

And sadly none of this or very little of this has an upside on the team or squad.

Whether we think we need a goalkeeper and a striker is of no relevance. If Wingers and Midfielders can be bought/ sold with potential profit it is far more interesting.

We are likely to see a lack of Goalkeeping and Striking options until a good potential deal comes along. Also we will likely buy stacks of Wingers whilst the deals with potential are out there.

The barriers to this drive are PSR and players refusing to join us for fear of their career being put on hold - They will be working on ways to overcome this.

Supporters want a new Goalkeeper and a new Striker ? not on the agenda, next.

Did you manage to get a ticket?

Interesting take on the current situation, much of it speculation though who honestly hand on heart say that it isn't reality?

There's a fundamental and important difference between Clearlake and Boehly. Clearlake are private equity, investing their clients' money for profit. Profit is all. It boils down to how long their clients are prepared to wait for profit. Boehly isn't under the same pressure. His investment is essentially his own - along with his partners - so, relatively speaking, he can afford to wait.

And there be some real life evidence to back up what was shown in the video.

I wonder what the tipping point will be for our core fan base, the ones who got the super league version 1 canned, to start showing that same passion and protest this ownership out of our club.

Honestly I hope Tel sticks to his guns, goes somewhere else, and someone asks him about Chelsea and he points to examples like DD Fofana, Carney, Washington etc as reasons he did not come and that he did not want his career to be treated like a stock exchange.

More will see it, eventually, and more will start avoiding us.

If young players avoid us due to lack of potential playing team then that could work nicely in conjunction where some young players see opportunities for example as a striker or goalkeeper*  where there are clearly opportunities for them to break in and command a starting place. Crikey the youth of today will be doing Stewart and Winstanleys job for them.😀

* obviously where goalkeepers are concerned we probably only want Gordon Banks grandchildren to apply as the bar seems to be ridiculously high to unseat Sanchez.
