In fact, what you suggested as a better plan is exactly what Todd promised us in 2022.

"Acquiring the best talent'

" Build on Chelsea's remarkable history of success "

There was nothing about acquiring loads of youngsters from abroad and also buying not the " best talent ' but instead buying mediocre talent for the first team squad.

From an early article on the takeover........vv

“Our vision as owners is clear: we want to make the fans proud.

“Along with our commitment to developing the youth squad and acquiring the best talent, our plan of action is to invest in the club for the long-term and build on Chelsea’s remarkable history of success.

Not sure if Todd was blowing smoke up our arse and making all the right noises having just bought the club who knows. The signings at the beginning suggest otherwise. Yes he was a bit 2 gun Tex at the start but like I say those early signings and his interviews seems to me that he sees success on the pitch as being key.

The boardroom struggles have been documented, Eggy seemed to step in and now we have these 2 SD’s and their Brighton mentality.

I blame them for our current position. The only thing blueco have really done wrong( cos they are spending) is give the money to these 2 twats and their under qualified yes man manager.

I imagine they gave specific direction to the SDs as to profile of player to sign, as otherwise there is no reason why S&W would still be in their jobs ... they must have lost their paymasters at least about £500m to date !

Simon (joe 90) Jordan has just been asked on Talksport if he was looking to put together a group to buy Sheffield Wednesday, he said no BUT then let slip that hes been asked about clubs to buy by Turkey Al Sheikh, he should have told them to buy us

Personally I think that Simon Jordan is a self important nobody and bit of a c*nt to boot.

I remember his knowing comment/no comment about Tuchels sacking and what Boehly had told him was behind it all.

Two thoughts came to my mind.

Firstly, why would a billionaire American businessman be rubbing shoulders with a failed football owner and businessman that had bankrupted himself to the level of resorting to pontificating on radio about sports that he has absolutely no acumen for whatsoever as if he is the all knowing sage and the subject matter expert of all things financial.

Secondly, and more importantly, if true doesn't it just reinforce our opinion of what a fking clown Boehly and his cronies really are. What sort of feeble minded cretin tells tales out of school about your employees to said failed nobody radio "pundit" whose only opportunity to maintain presence is to spout bo**ocks and half truths to the nation to continue the fiction that he is part of the "game".

Fck em all, fck em all!

Just my opinion 😂

‘Pontificate’, sounds like a word Jordon would use…. Certainly applies to him.

Might as well get advice on football finance from Peter Ridsdale.

Ridsdale used to be the most useless Football exec in PL history, but we've got several currently in situ who have surpassed him in my book

THIS is more bollox from Simon "the twat" Jordan on Talksport a few weeks ago. Well, I hope it's a load of bollox ! I think he also said something along the lines that our owners found him " interesting". Which is impossible to believe . ......

"I spent a bit of time with Todd, I don't know Eghbali, various people I know that are representing Chelsea are working with them and there's opportunities for me to perhaps go and watch Chelsea games and get myself involved in that sort of framework if I wanted to, in terms of having discussions with these sort of guys."

"But I've always believed that the Chelsea project is a very interesting one, it's a very different one. "

Gotta laugh at Jordan's ridiculous comment about his experience of owning Palace being useful to Boehly and that our owners pay attention to what he says about them !!

"Speaking to Jim White on talkSPORT, Jordan suggested that his experience of owning Palace between 2000 and 2010 could make him useful to Boehly, who he has met previously. “Not involved with them commercially, involved with them to have discussions,” Jordan said when asked if he would get involved at Chelsea.

"Because they like some of the things that have been written, they pay attention to some of the things that I've said about them. That doesn't give me any cachet or kudos, it's just an observation

At the time of the takeover......

"Boehly has set himself an enormous target to surpass even what Abramovich achieved at Chelsea

He ( Tuchel) has impressed with his leadership during the uncertainty of Abramovich’s sanctioning and the feeling within the club is that Chelsea would have been much closer to the top of the Premier League table if not for injuries and Covid this season. Tuchel is expected to be handed significant funds to close that gap during Boehly’s first season in charge.

Chelsea’s prospective new owner has made it clear to those close to him that he is here to win. He has set himself an enormous target to surpass even what Abramovich achieved, but that fits in with an attitude that has served him so well in the business world. A new era dawns.

Can you believe the guy who actually rented gold fish at Leeds, and yeah we all f**king hate Leeds, but no sensible person in their right mind would want to see a once great club like that go down the drain. The man who basically caused ffp to be introduced went on to hold a number of high profile positions at numerous clubs and is still a director at a once great club Preston North End. Can you believe it. This is why the whole thing is bo**ocks. It doesn’t matter what initials they give it. They say Roman wasn’t a fit and proper person…. Who the f**k are THEY.

And apart the the goldfish, Risdale had a fleet of 70 ( I had to look it up!) company cars that the club were paying for. !!

DAMAC our front of the shirt sponsor for the rest of the season…

The club's announcement on this is almost hubristic:

DAMAC Properties has been at the forefront of the Middle East’s luxury real estate market. An ultra-modern development, Chelsea Residences by DAMAC, is being designed and launched in partnership with Chelsea FC in Dubai, slated to be the first-of-its-kind football-themed branded residences.

The new development will be built with Chelsea Football Club's famous brand woven into the fabric, from its concierge service to its high-performance spaces. It will reflect the very best of Chelsea FC both in terms of high-end style, commitment to excellence and vision for the future.

Cringeworthy bo**ocks.

no way we went 34 games of the season without a shirt sponsor and now they get one LMAO

I can't imagine why any company would waste their time with so few games remaining, so this must be to do with the CWC.

EDIT: Just saw that it's not going to be on the shirt for the CWC, so I have no idea what's going on 😆

The club is the "theme" or brand for this new £1bn sports luxury residential homes project they are building in the middle east.

Is this where we will build our new stadium too? 😆

I assume they think we're going to win the conference league and they'll feature on the shirt for the final? Its all just laughable.

I guess they're desperate to get some Conference League winning creds. It's going on next season shirt no? Logo wise it isn't the worst looking sponsor I guess.

They are into Property development hey, so the new stadium is going to be called the Damac stadium, sounds sh*t to be honest. Well on the plus side we call all say return of DaMac when you revisit!
