Another season done, and I've got to be honest, this has been some of the worst football I've seen at Chelsea. Even back in the dark old days at least the team played with heart. The one thing I can't abide is players not giving their all!

Next up, the little matter of the Europa League Final, then on to next season. Hopefully by then we've had a massive clear out of the deadwood!

it has been  turgid boring football at times but 3rd is not too bad even though we stumbled to it, although we were lucky Spurs and Arsenal, plus Utd had their wobbles recently too.   5 or 6 need to go, just hope the CAS give us the chance to replace them

Third and two finals in one season and everyone is complaining. 

I know the footballs not been great (I'm a season ticket holder before you ask) but let's give the guy another season.

Come on I remember the late seventies early 80's.

One thing we need more heart and backbone. That's what we are really lacking.

No leaders out there.

Up the Chels third at the start of the season I would have ripped your arm off.

I'm not blaming the manager. I'm willing to give him another season. It's the players that I feel let down by. Some of them need to be shown the door pretty sharpish!

No was looking to see my season's prediction, I had us in 3rd and United in 6th though think I had Spurs and Arsenal the wrong way around. Think it might have been a different thread though after seeing your post could not resist re-posting!

The football we play is good, far better than the turgid stuff under Jose and Conte. The problem is too many players uncomfortable on the ball, and the ones that are make terrible decisions 90% of the time. Naming no names....

Very happy for this top 3 finish, above Spuds,Arse and Manure and just under the two best teams right now Liverpool and Man City.

Many have written our team off but we ended in a great position!

 

Ha, we've been very average and yet still finished 3rd!

Will take that all day long although a lot of this seasons games have been very forgettable.

Agree with your post except the part in bold, think we are clearly a level below the front two though maybe next season we can bridge that.

100%! Thinking of the points we've dropped and inconsistent play it's crazy we still finished 3rd.

I personally think the football we played in Mourinho's and Conte's first season was the best football we have played since we won the title in 2009/10, it was so much better than the slow and boring football we are seeing under Sarri.

Just noticed if we win EL we'll be in pot 1 for next years Champions League and pot 2 otherwise. Winning now sure would make life a lot easier for us in the future.

Shows how bad 2015/2016 was for us... if we had just qualified for Europa that year, we most likely still be pot 1

Nah the rules have changed, only league winners and the winners of either cup get pot 1 these days, after that it's down to seeding.

I would say only 6 month's were Jose's concerned, the rest of it wasn't very good eye catching wise atall.
