September 12, 20196 yr Yep we are taylor made for Wolves atm. Kepa Azpi Rudi? Christensen Emerson? Kante? Jorgi Pedro? Mount Pulisic Tammy Unsure on fitness of players with question marks on them. I think this is our strongest XI atm - or the same players in a 4-3-3 whichever is best. Edited September 12, 20196 yr by rtwelch

September 13, 20196 yr What a sh*t couple fixtures coming up. Can't say I am confident whatsoever in either this game or Vs 'pool. We can't stop picking up injuries to key players and will probably go into this game weakened in one way or another. Pretty frustrating. I am hoping for three points obviously, but just do not feel optimistic as wolves are always a tough game and can see them scoring for sure, especially given our defensive issues.
September 13, 20196 yr Kepa Dave Christensen Rudiger George Michael Tomori Kovavic Jorginho Mount Tammy Pulisic
September 13, 20196 yr With Kante out I'd like to see Abraham and Giroud start. Try to press and make it stick up front. Azpi, Rudiger, Christensen Mount (Pedro), Kovacic, Jorginho, Emerson Barkley (Mount) Abraham, Giroud
September 13, 20196 yr Kante, still out............ ? After this amount of time will he have lost a yard of pace?

Yeah, could easily be looking at one win in 6 by the end of next weekend. But still early season and players to get fully fit, so no need to panic. I'd take a draw tomorrow.

It does seems to be lingering and that's why it might be bad news. A lot of players lose something after injury and Kante has been Mr. Reliable for us and it is surprising that he is taking so long to figure again.

If he loses a yard of pace he'll be downgraded to world class and only covering 99% of the earth. On a serious note if this is a problem we are f.....

Generally if the player has passed tests and looked good in training, I don't see why a player would be rushed back. We hear this a lot with players returning from injury, then getting reinjured, but there's high level fitness coaches and medical staff at elite level football clubs, so not sure injured players can be rushed back tbh. However, there is a chance he has played too much football since returning. He played against Liverpool and then again that weekend, which was about 3+ hours of action in a short amount of time. September 13, 20196 yr Wolves have had a worse start than CFC due I suspect mainly to EL matches, this one's there 1st without that handicap, reckon it'll be another draw if I'm honest because Kante is still out and even though Rudy may start, there's something fundamentally wrong with the defence and goalie so far this season. Wolves are just the kind of team to exploit our right hand side and then get in the box and score against us, lets face it aside from Emerson the whole back 4 and goalie have been in 'relegation' form so far. NO criticism of the coaching staff implied however, they've had to work with the players available and I would imagine these last 2 weeks they've been working hard to try and shore up the 2nd worst defence in the division (conceded 9 only Norwich have conceded more at 10). So even though it pains me to say it - a point away will be far better than say losing 2-1 after having 70% of the possession last year, when we had arguably a slightly better defence and Hazard. Hope I'm wrong of course and we outscore them !!

Often you find a player returning from a significant injury will tweak muscles etc. I thought that's what this was with Kante?
