Chelsea v Leeds United (PL) ?

Featured Replies

Incidentally, I had some furniture delivered to my house over a week ago and the delivery man happened to be from Leeds.

He was very effusive about Bielsa and he was confident that Leeds were going to be promoted. Apparently he had been a season ticket holder at Leeds for 25 years.

He seemed pretty positive about Chelsea's prospects going forward, too.

Really not looking forward to this one (especially if we get them early on).

Bielsa is a genius of a manager in the aspect of getting lesser players not only punching above their weight but playing stupidly good high level technical football in the process. A few months back they absolutely pasted Arsenal at The Emirates and only lost due to criminally poor finishing, his Bilbao side back in 2012 outfoxed Fergie's United in literally every aspect, it was an absolute demolition job.

However he does tend to have one huge chink in his armour and that's he's so intense his players tend to be running on empty at the end of the season (that same Bilbao team that made United look like schoolchildren also failed to score in their last 6 games that same season also bottom of the table Barnsley outplayed Leeds the other day) so I hope one of our fixtures against them fall in the last month of the season.

Kalvin Phillips is one to seriously look out for, if he keeps up his trajectory he'll be in the Euro21 squad for England next summer.

I think us and United will improve to the point top 4 isn't as open next season but had Leeds came up last year I wouldn't have been surprised if they were challenging for top 4 with us this season (although as I alluded to they'd probably be dropping off at this point).

Make no mistake if we catch Bielsa on a good day like Sir Alex did it's going to be an outrageously hard match.

Cool story bro

Can’t say I like Leeds and must confess to occasionally laughing at their demise. That said, I have lots of memories over the years against them and it was always a game we looked forward to, especially away. I guess one of those teams you like to dislike and there is respect there. The fact they have been out of the PL for 16 years is staggering. They are a big club but that counts for nothing. Anyway, more fun them coming to SB than the likes of Bournemouth.

He cant be real or proper Leeds if he thinks positive things on chelsea ,wait untill he reaches for his fathers GUN  then his chelsea

mindest will change

Here is more reason to hate them.  During their victory celebration, some fans through bottles at police officers trying to control the crowd, and a female officer has been seriously injured.  I am praying for her.

Incidentally the 1970 f.a.cup final replay Chelsea v Leeds,  still has the biggest tv audience for a uk football match, 28.5 million, bettered only by the 1966 World cup final.

Not bad at all considering that it was 50 years ago.::clap2::

It's a small world dude.

I used to work with a bloke proud supporter from Leeds. He was a good lad until he had a few drinks then he’d want to fight anything that moved at this point.

99.9% of Leeds fans summed up in two sentences right there.

The thing is they've usually tried to place nice football but there's always been something about them which has made many non-Leeds fans strongly dislike them. I generally dont like Liverpool but i liked them during the Barnes, Beardsley era. Same with Arsenal during the early years of Wenger, but never at any time liked Leeds!
