If this is a loop hole Klopp can abuse we need to do the same Thursday.

Think I might use it at work!

[Warning: not speaking from a position of expertise] My understanding of lateral flow tests is that false positives aren't particularly a thing; I think if you test positive, you are 99+% likely to have COVID. A percentage of tests may see false negatives (i.e. the person has COVID but the test doesn't pick it up) but not the inverse.

Obviously correct me if I'm wrong. If I'm right this is some very dirty pool on Liverpool's part.

Haven’t heard of false positives in Lateral flow certainly not the norm. Anyone, and I heard of many, who have had a positive LF have 100% shown PCR positive.
False negatives are different as I know some who have been LF negative and had PCR because of symptoms and shown positive.
I would have to be a bit sceptical of anything that comes out of Liverpool FC. Sounds a bit like Novak Djokovic testing positive on the 16th Dec and then attending and presenting at a kids awards ceremony unmasked the following day. All Bullsh*t!!!

When I say bullsh*t I mean the convenient way the positive test appeared to allow him into Australia unvaccinated. I don’t think even Djokovic would be that irresponsible to attend that kids event the day after testing positive.

So apparently Barcelona are interested in signing Morata..........how does this keep happening? No matter how average he is, he ends up at a big club. If he just played one season of his career for a mid table team, no top team would go near him again. It's like the footballing world are so desperate for him to be the next Fernando Torres or David Villa. Well it just ain't going to happen, the guy is average.

I've seen a bit of him and to be honest his first touch is miles better than either Werner or Lukaku and he can build play.

In front of goal a bit hit and miss yet as I say other attributes.

I took a lateral flow test last Thursday evening and it was positive and took a PCR test on Friday morning. The result of that was sent to me on Saturday morning and was positive. I've had three jabs - the last one was in early November - and shows that even for those who've had the booster can still catch covid. Symptoms are mild and goodness knows where I caught it.

As for Djokovic I think he is taking the piss. I suspect that when he takes to the court during the Australian Open he will be roundly booed. The daughter of the landlady of my local pub  in South East London went out to Australia for six months work three years ago and has been there every since due to covid restrictions. Must be annoyed with what has happened with Djokovic. I know that there are a few Australians who post on here. Will be interesting to see their views on the Djokovic fiasco.

Its not only a load of sh*t, its dangerous too as it gives the anti-vaxxer bellends material to work with. A positive Lateral Flow test is more than 99% correct, so the chances of having that many in one small group of people is infinitesimal.

Amazing how unlucky they've been along with the proportionally huge amount of Asthma sufferers they have....

Its a gloomy grey wet Monday here in the West of England, but you just made the sun shine.

You're welcome sir. Anything that mocks Man U or should that be Manure makes me smile and chuckle.

Is the fact that we are playing our games going to pay off at the end of the season? Surely the clubs who have had matches postponed are going to face a crazy fixture pileup in final stretch of the season?

it should be, they should not get any advantage for not playing those games, they should have max 2 days of rest in between those games

But you just know that where Utd and pool are concerned they will pull out all the stops to facilitate. Expect a wee week add on in May.

I agree. They should be made to play the games within the original timeframe. Not picking a free week.

Wait, aren't the chances of a false positive supposed to be really low? almost impossible when it's as many as he is claiming.

What an absolute load of crap. It was fishy from the beginning, but this pretty much confirms it for me, they cheated their way out of playing against Arsenal. Using the pandemic for personal gain has to be a new low.
