Depressing the thought of City v Liverpool final. Understand me when I say I really dislike Liverpool (I really do) but part of me would prefer them to win it. City’s dominance and dodgy FFP annoys me. But the seeing Klopp and his annoying face would perhaps annoy me more.

Can anyone offer some advice? These are difficult moments.

It’s fine to feel that way tbh, no outcome is particularly good but from a Chelsea perspective the only thing we have on Man-City is the CL, they win it.. and suddenly the Roman era is almost trumped entirely by them as they are already ahead of us for Premier League titles. Another CL trophy on top of the already high pile for Liverpool doesn’t change much, Pep winning it makes him and City literally ‘perfect’ and that’s depressing. I ‘cringe’ at some of these Chelsea fans I see trying to act like we are on City’s side, like that’s somehow good for us.

Nothing was worse than the idea of Spurs winning it in 2019 though, now that would have been bad.

I know how you feel. If those two get to the final it’s trying to choose between the lesser of two evils. I want citeh to beat them to the PL but the thought of them winning the CL for the first time isn’t pleasant at all. It’s been fun seeing them fail every year and not be at our level.
obviously Liverpool are the ultimate 🤮 so ideally Madrid complete comeback next week and Villarreal somehow beat Liverpool.

If City get past Real, and it seems likely, then I will for one rare occasion, root for Liverpool UNLESS they have won both the PL and FA Cup already.

So long as they have not won one of those two I would rather City and Pep fail again. Klopp has already won the CL with them and they have won it in it various forms like 34 times already so what is another one if it stops City?

Emery has been talking down Villareals chances, saying how they lost the surprise factor having already beat Juventus and Bayern while being underdogs.

He could have simply stopped at saying "we've lost" did not need to add the surprise factor. He knows they are turning up to play the side that Liverpool knock out.

There is something with ucl n madrid. We destroyed them. City destroyed them. We n city could have won 5-0 but somehow someway rm survive.

Even a while ago when they had their three peat, I watched them vs bayern. Bayern completely destroyed them however CR7 scored 2 offside goals n bayern got red card for clean tackle and the tie was over.

Apparently Real have never progressed to the CL final after losing the first leg.

In any round or just semi?

Real got steamrolled by Psg, Chelsea and City. But they somehow hang on and find a way back from the ropes.

With so many big game players it's not that surprising but you can't help but be impressed.

Sorry forgot that part. Just the semi final first leg. They have turned round first leg defeats in other rounds.

Also far as today goes I reckon:

Liverpool 3 -0 Villareal, Mane 14 😉

We were sh*t in that 1st half at home and the goal that Mendy gifted them ultimately made the difference. They're damn lucky this season that they convert nearly every chance they get. You can't compete against that type of luck.

Inspite of that, City still beat them.

Converting chances is lucky? And last night they blew several chances caused by City's defensive howlers. I agree they were ruthless in taking their chances against us (We smashed them on xG. Yay!) and punished our every mistake, it seemed.

Yep. Just ask Bayern in that 2012 final. They even screwed a penalty. And we just had that 1 corner.🙂

The most infuriating thing about us is that we need a bucket load of chances to score anything. The amount of chances we missed last season against Real over 2 legs was criminal.

I don't know.

One one hand yes having many big game/clutch player is great  but if you are not that good of a team, it is like you are playing roulette.

We losed 3-1 at home against this rm team but I still had big confidence of us turning the result around but If that was city or pool, I gave us 0 chance.

Villareal have some PL flops in their side. Capoue,  Lo Celso, Foryth,  coquellin etc. And they face a rampant Liverpool....oh dear this is gonna be ugly. They will regret beating Bayern.

They're there to add to Spuds woes of players winning titles after leaving them.
