I disagree, his recovery pace has been crucial to our tactics and as i said him running out with the ball gave us an extra dimension. He's not been the Fofana we thought we were getting granted but he's by a distance the best RCB option.

There's a reason he's been an untouchable starter under 4 different managers whenever he's been fit.

That pace is going to diminish. It has to with all his injuries.

This is his third season with us right? Missed all bar 6 weeks of the first season, all of the second season and this one he did manage 3 months before he down for the count again.

I imagine 16 is being reserved for Paez and I'm not sure they'll give a for all intents and purposes short term signing number 26.

My guess out of those would be 33.

Would be fitting. Was Fofanas first number here and he has been recalled because.... Fofana returned to the ER.

Possibly #2 if we have a buyer for Disasi and they conclude it quickly ?

According the the PL website he's made as many errors leading to goals this season alone than Tosin and Badiashille have between them in the PL full stop.

As a big Chalobah fan I'm delighted that he's back. Get him straight into the first XI until Fofana is fit. He can also cover right-back, any position in a back three, and feasibly holding midfield too, particularly given our bizarre (and continued) dearth of options in that position.

That said, this is a farcical series of decisions by the sporting directors. They have (one can only assume) damaged our relationship with a fruitful (and local) loan destination club, damaged their and the management's relationship with Chalobah (and the players they have now decided he's better than), made us look like complete idiots on the national stage, and spent a sh*tload of money just to end up in a worse position than where we started. This is the latest in a series of contemptibly poor squad-building decisions which can only lead one to conclude that they should be removed from their positions immediately. They and the ownership have repeatedly proven themselves to be prideful, venal, and incompetent.

I'm pretty sure they'll quickly get over it when another Guehi level talent is made avaliable for sale because we've given the squad space to the Disasi/Zappacosta/Chalobahs of this world.

Can't see where you're getting any of that from. Almost everybody has said he's no world beater, but better than what we've got.

Even with the two errors, he still has higher PL ratings this season than any of our players on both Whoscored and Sofascore. He's actually not far behind VVD either LOL
