Yeah nobody has said that. Some of us have said he is better than Tosin, Badiashile and Disasi, which most seem to agree with.

Less agree with him being better than this version of Fofana, which is fine, matter of opinions. Even though I am a fan of Trev I have said he was never going to be at the level Fofana was at Leicester pre injury, and have said I would ideally like him to be 4th choice behind 3 top CBS.

VVD is a World Class CB, Trev is not.

Maresca will do as he is told. If the owners said Chilwell needs to stay and play, he would suddenly say he is good enough.

I'd wager we lost Hall partly because we didn't commit to giving him proper minutes ahead of an out of sorts/over the hill Chilwell, we lost Rio (probably) because we couldn't convince him of pathway and came within a hairs breath of losing Colwill. I can accept the Hall and (nearly) Colwill mistake if we learn from it, but I can't accept history repeating itself.

16/17 Liverpool was full of experienced players and they only started Trent twice in the league despite him making 24 appearances. Eased him in slowly.

United also finished outside of top 4 and once again their squad is littered with experience. 

When we promoted James and Mount we also had a squad of Kante, Rudiger, Giroud etc. 

He's signed a contract, he's going nowhere. Worst thing for his confidence will be throwing him into a team that consistently leaks goals next to another young CB that needs an experienced head next to them. Let him play in the cups, let him play in Europe. He doesn't have to start every game and when he's not starting i'd rather have Trev there than Disasi every day. 

Takes the #23 kit.

Honestly, I think Chalobah is better for Chelsea right now (between now and the end of this season) than Guehi

With Fofan injured we need a right sided centre back not a left sided one like Guehi (who isn't going to start ahead of Colwill or Cucurella at LB).

Agreed he should have, and again agreed happy to have him back until they try and get rid of him in the summer and he ends up back at Palace on loan.

He is pure profit, they will try and cash in until they succeed.

 

The sad thing is that they will only look at the £££ and think that he is bumping his transfer value. 

This profit nonsense by the board is embarrassing. Disasi needs to go before Chalobah. Guehi for 50 million makes no sense aswell. 

Unless we're forced into another reverse-ferret and Chilwell comes back, I would like to see our Trev get the vice-captaincy.
