Give us Huijsen as a LCB, Reece as RB & Cucu as LB and we’re golden.I'd like to seeAcheampong - Chalobah - Huijsen - ColwillPlenty of height and ball-playing ability in that back line.Petrovic behind them as the best of our GK options.Caicedo and Andrey Santos screening in front of them.Palmer (RW), Estevao Willian (10), Tyrique George (LW) and a new striker (Sesko or Delap) to bang in most of the goals. Carney as the rotating #10 to Willian. Sancho and Neto as the squad wingers, and Guiu and Jackson as the additional striker options.

He’s like some mythical creature that will save the club whenever he’s fit. Realistically he’s a pretty average CB that we paid massively over the odds for and is never fit.

Most were signed by these sporting directors according to the very model they set (young players with bags of potential). Yet, despite that, you can bet that most of the players you named won't be in the squad next season, and we'll spend all summer running around signing players with the exact same profile to replace the ones we'll ship out.
April 28, 20251 yr At the moment trev is 3rd or 4th choice - in line with his ability. Personally I would keep him as I think he is a better back up option than the likes of Tosin or Disasi - both better and more versatile. But in truth - I think the club will want to earn some pure profit, and the player will want more than a back up utility role. So probably in the the grand scheme a win win for all.

He's a lot better than you are trying to make out.

So that’s at least 3rd choice. The fact he was loaned out suggests he is also behind at least 1 other from the rest….I am not doing his a disservice. I like Trev and would keep him around - but he isn’t going to be first choice.

April 28, 20251 yr He's on par with Guehi who every club is desperate to sign.RLC and Gilmour are better than KDH.Livramento is better than Gusto.Hall is better than Cucurella. The list goes on.

I am arguing that he is lower down the pecking order, particularly given the current way we play, and will likely continue to be. Even more so if we buy the latest shiny toy flavoring the month CB.Fofana when fit is our best. Colwill on the left is first choice. The rest are battling out for squad places - and I see trev losing that battle.

Loan Anselmino (is that his name?) And keep Tosin, baddy, Josh, +1 new signing.

April 28, 20251 yr I'm not a huge fan of Trevor. He has a few games where he looks decent, then he'll drop some clangers. But that being said, I'd rather keep him and Disasi or Badiasielle.
April 28, 20251 yr If I'm being honest I thought he looked dodgy on the ball and made a few mistakes but was solid on the actual defending side of things. He's a very good squad player, I wouldn't sell personally mainly cause I don't trust the board to sign a better defender. We got Tosin on a free and I still think we got robbed.

Unless we are planning to sign a top cb,Chalobah will be better than whoever we signI didn’t say better - I said down the pecking order. I stand by that. Trev is not first or second choice, and given we are looking at new signings, it suggests we are looking to improve/add quality. He is currently 3rd or 4th choice. He is only likely to slip further down the pecking order - and when given the competition for places, I think he will be sold for pure profit. It doesn’t feel compelling to keep a player - who has already been loaned out this season - simply for depth, when others can fill that role.
April 29, 20251 yr We probably will sell Chalobah, is it because of football reason? Nope, Chalobah is a starter for both poch n Maresca. He will be sold because he is the easiest to move. It is the same reason why we tried to sell Madueke last summer.

If it was easy he would have left for a permanent deal last summer. I think Disasi will be the easiest to move on.

Decent squad/cover option for us. But not good enough to lead and start. Same can be said of all our defenders…. Sell the lot!

May 4, 20251 yr Lost count the amount of interceptions and tackles he did today, great game from him. I feel he compliments Colwill’s weaknesses very well, potentially a very good partnership in the making.
May 4, 20251 yr Of all our current CBs, he’s easily second choice, perhaps even first, evident with the partnership he is building with Levi. Would sell all the others before Trev, but we know that won’t happen. Hope he stays though - he has all the attributes of a top premier league CB.
