I don't think we will win tonight though do see us winning the away leg and going through.

Hope my gut intuition is wrong and we get a decent cushion for the away leg.

Additionally Ancelotti's job is one the line as they got pasted by Barca so will be interestng to see how they line up.

Madrid lost to barcelona because they played a stupid formation and did a lot of experiments that didn't work. Benzema didn't play and he is playing incredibly well.

Bit like us and Brentford.

I am not optimistic but not that pessimistic either. Kind of feels like a 50 50 game to me. We are actually favourites but I don't think we deserve to be. 538 rates us 54% and Real 46% so a tie.

I think it depends a bit on morale, as the sale drags on and the reality of the change gradually sinks in. If we turn up on the day and put in a shift and Kova and Kante are fit, and I think Kante looked like he was struggling against Brentford then we can do it alright.

I've managed to pop out and get my icecream. I haven't doubled up to make up for @Munkworth being at the Bridge, but I compensated with a big bar of chocolate and a bag of crisps. I will change into my magic match winning pants shortly, and that's really all I can do. 

Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, or if he would have even been used, but Eden Hazard is out of this game and the return leg after having a operation.

Really sad what has happened to him there.

Seems like I am doing most of the typing (surprise surprise) along with a few others, is weird.

Though maybe is more the ownership situation and the sanctions that have caused the disinterest to spread.

The sanctions have probably taken it out of people. There can hardly be much transfer talk etc going on either at the moment!

I believe the Brentford thread died quickly because it wasn't a "controversial" result. We were just horrible as a whole, from Mendy to the ball boy. It wasn't a case of "we should have played this or that", there was no Lukaku from start to drive @Argo (and myself) crazy (I haven't seen him in a while I think, hope he's well). Nothing to talk about besides how awful we were and hope it was just an international break blip and players thought it was December.

 

But you're right, now we're up against the biggest champions of Europe in what should be a great game for everyone, probably all neutrals will be watching this instead of Bayern and Villarreal, so let's put up another Chelsea masterclass for all!

In all seriousness the issue with ownership and the sanctions will likely have affect some of our fans poorly, for a number of potential reasons. @Argo may be one of those affected.

I know I was both mad and very sad at times in the early stages of it and found it hard to think of anything else or talk. Quick to temper too.
