Real vs The Medias finest (CL Final 22)

Featured Replies

From a non-footballing perspective and taking away tribalism, last night seems an awful experience for their genuine fans with tickets. I can only think of the kids going with dads in what should have been an amazing experience, probably turned into an awful one.

Despite the media narrative, it seems some Liverpool and locals didn’t have tickets. This seems to have led police to be heavy handed and close gates.

I read that one of the issues was that was no ticket check away from the ground, it was all done right outside. Normally, 0.5 mile from the stadium, you have to show your ticket and this gives opportunity for police to “weed out” the troublemaker’s/ ticketless fans. Last night, it seems it was all done on the door which where the issues came from.

Awful for those people who paid a fortune to go.

Nadine Dorries is from Liverpool I believe? I also remember she was one of the most vocal MP's about punishing our club over Roman.

Coming from a Liverpool fan, I actually think the following is pretty fair:

“Fine, agree [that the French can’t be trusted], the narrative shouldn’t be good fans caused this, but we’ve seen f**k loads of people on twitter and on forums bragging about blag tickets and efforts to bunk in.

I’m not there so I can’t say anything about what happened on the ground but we too often turn a blind eye to scumbags doing quite blatantly the wrong thing.

no excuse for two wrong treatment of our good fans, but we need to start calling out our own.

whether it’s knobheads throwing flares into rival supporters ends, knobheads robbing service stations on the way to the cup final and bragging about it on twitter or knobheads flogging and intentionally buying fake tickets for this match.

our good fans - those in the vast, vast majority get tarred by these twats, and we excuse them too much.

I’ll probably get slated for saying this but it’s true.”

Fair play to that fan. The reason many other clubs don't have these problems is that they do call out the so called fans who do this kind of thing. I draw the comparison to Rangers who brought arguably even more fans to Sevilla. But even though there was a ton of drinking involved you didn't see their ticketless fans trying to bunk in. They would probably have got a slap if they tried. Those fans are actually ruining the experience for those that got legitimate tickets. By all means travel to the city hosting the final but stay away from the stadium if you couldn't get tickets, and accept that you have to watch it at one of the big screens that are usually set up.

She is.

We won the CL last year with zero huge incidents and that was in a year where the covid rules/law/regulations were relaxed after 1year+.

It's certainly no coincidence when Liverpool play a big game, some disaster is just on the brink of happening

As I mentioned earlier it is estimated that up to 150,000 Rangers fans went to Seville and there was not one arrest. Shows that you can have a good time and drink a lot with out causing trouble. The Rangers fans were highly praised for their behaviour and have been complemented by many Spaniards including the mayor of Seville.

Yes, no major incidents in last year's CL and I can't recall any in Munich in 2012. Chelsea and Bayern fans drinking together and having friendly banter. Yes, there was a bit of mickey-taking but didn't get out of hand.

Hopefully if there is an enquiry one of the questions asked is why Rangers fans behaved and Liverpool fans didn't. In Seville there was no or little water in the kiosks in the ground leading to complaints and fans suffering dehydration in the searing heat but no trouble.

Thing is although i agree with you all its the bloomin french and with brexit and the way the French are like for instance using fishing boats in some kind of pathetic attempt to wiggle pitch forks at us from the sea is kind of their schtick tbh.

Some people were being told they had fake tickets yet were connected to players i.e family and got turned away, The frogs used it as an excuse to ruin the brits day, They're doing the same with holidays and anything they can control, even helping thousands of illegals to our shores etc

Scousers are bad, But they aiint the French!!

bledy white flaggers!!

What the f**k are you on about!? You on a high? Get a f**king grip man, nothing to do with brexit nor with fishing rights. The dippers did what they do best, behave like the f**king pest that they are. Nothing more nothing less.

Nah theres plenty of video going around, Some bellend puddings jumped the fence but its legit that people with real tickets were kept out the game, They even kept half the support out until half time

again i repeat, Its the french being dicks and liverpool etc usual standards lol

Thing is that there was no problem at the Real Madrid end, as there was no problem last season with the City and Chelsea supporters, or there’s been no problem with the hundreds of thousands of Rangers supporters and Eintrach supporters in Seville. The scousers are the problem, yes, the French police are known for their behaviour, but there’s only been problems when Liverpool plays, no one else causes any problem.

Yeah, never their fault, it’s always the rest of them. And what the f**k has got fishing or brexit to do with the scum avalanching to enter the stadium. Grow up and stand to the problem.

How dare you wtf

Stop crying, Yes the dipper dossers are scumbags but its pretty clear with all the video whats what, Im all for a pile in as we get more sh1t than any other club in the prem however I blame macron and the french.

It would of been the same for any fan base let alone the scouse, woe betide anyone who interferes or stops ticket paying fans from watching their team!
