We probably didn't hit the heady heights of Liverpool under benitez (burning through like 300 players) but still, I think bargain hunting is wishful thinking now, Everything is a billion quid! 

Hasn't he got a long contract? They won't sell to a rival for less than like 80m or something stupid. I'm so sick of these crazy transfer prices these days. PSG really f**ked up the football economy with those Mbappe and Neymar deals.

We signed De Bruyne and Salah for a combined 20 mill. Should've been the steals of the century.

I think the fact his injury was a fibula break and not a tibia break should ease our concerns. The latter is far worse in the long run. Not to mention this injury happened on his weaker leg and players are more likely to come back 100% from a leg break vs a knee injury. 

Rumours is he hates Barcelona.

This would be a really good signing if we can do it.

Be nice if we were able to open the purse strings and just go here you go Leicester, and here you go Wolves, and boom, Fofana and Kilman holding up Chelsea kits by Saturday.

Then we could move on to the important business of sorting out our midfield issues.

Also worth remembering that, while it was Marina not Todd, our negotiations with Leicester for Chilwell were over quickly.

Agreed he has a lot of upside. Kilman also similar in all regards baring a few years older. I hope we contact the foxes soon and make this happen quickly. Maybe a loan of either Colwill or Kepa to sweeten the deal.

Leicester are not a club to stand in the way of a player moving if they get the right fee. Often it works out great for them (Drinkwater, McGuire). So I don't doubt if we pay what they want they will sell, they won't do what West Ham do with Rice.

Question is will we pay that price?

Personally more excited about him than I was for Kounde or Kimpembe. Similar Hopefully level as De Ligt. Him being a "Chelsea fan" makes it an even better possible signing.

Ideally sign him, loan Colwill to the foxes and he gets good PL minutes there, and sign Kilman from Wolves, who can play both left and right on a back 3.

He signed a five year contract in 2020. Leicester paid Saint-Étienne £36.5 million for him.

Fofana is 5 inches taller than Kounde.  So there is that, Fofana is a proper sized CB.
