I thought Gerrard was going to be Klopp's successor? 😛

i think Xabi Alonso will have a better chance to become Liverpool manager

I feel like with a lot of these young managers, they want the big jobs but are not prepared to learn their trade over a longer period. Most of them will come in and do a decent job for a season but there’s no real depth beyond that.

Think of Klopp, Potter, Conte etc all doing stints in lower leagues and working their way up. I remember the Chelsea players were saying when Tuchel took over that he had taken them to an elite level. Clearly franks depth of experience was good enough

so Klopp is allowed on the touchline for two games until FA bans him for the red card. as for the nature of his assault on the ref he should have been banned for 3 games at least,  but we all know he’s just showing his passion for the game

Those Forest subs are a bit concerning. Having Williams higher up as a wing-back allows him to [theoretically] pin Alexander-Arnold, but only having Gibbs-White and Johnson as your forwards limits your options for an out ball. Awoniyi was probably doing an okay job at best of holding the ball up (fair enough when your opponent is van Dijk) but the other two won't be capable of it at all.

Why would that make any difference ? Souness went from managing Rangers to managing Liverpool, directly.

Not sure, except times have changed SNP, Brexit and Liverpool always having a big Irish connection.

How on earth you’ve come to the conclusion that Brexit has an Irish connection is beyond me! If anything, it has a connection to the NI loyalist lot, certainly not to the republicans….

We employed Rafa, anything is possible.
