If either Mount or Havertz start Saturday sack Tuchel then and there.

Both of them were the reason why we even scored a goal last time though.

So 600 minutes of offering absolutely nothing warrants them to continue starting because they averaged 1 goal contribution in 600 minutes?

Form will come back, class is permanent.

Watched their game against Spuds last night, and noted that Antonio is approaching the kind of form that gives our defenders a 90-minute runaround. Probably fortunate Christensen is no longer a Chelsea player.

And when will that be? Another 600 minutes? 1200? Havertz has averaged a goal in 14 matches and Mount has continued his form from last season. We cannot be rewarding mediocrity given Havertz and Mount will continue to play without incentive. Why can't Broja, Pulisic or Ziyech be given a run like they have? They have 1 bad game they are benched. Havertz and Mount can have an entire season of bad games and they are un droppable.

I've said this in the Havertz thread and I'll say it again. Raise your standards.

Your maths need work.

Well even if he does sign Auba is injured so I would expect Fofana makes his debut, maybe with Zakaria if he signs as well. That saves Kova from needing to start. I would guess we will see this:

Mendy

James

Fofana

Koulibaly

Cucurella

Jorginho

Zakaria

Mount

Ziyech

Havertz

Sterling

Gallagher will be back for this. Jorginho is doing it tough playing 90 in every game.

If Chalobah and James are fit they may well start with Fofana coming in later on although I don't see how Silva can play twice a week.

One line up might be:

James Chalobah Koulibally Cucurella Chilwell

Gallagher Jorghi

Havertz  Broja Stirling

with Fofana and Kova to come on second half.

---

Or you could play 4 3 3 and play one of Cucurella/chilwell and put Mount in the Lampard spot

Havertz is useless out wide once a team sits back and defends, he cannot beat a man off the dribble to save his life. I'd rather have Broja starting wide and cutting in as it's a natural play for him.

Must win I dunno what team is available for this but i would go with

Mendy

fofana silva koulibaly

james jorginho kova cucurella

Havertz broja sterling

I think that is close and would epect Mount and not Broja to start and the subs could well be interesting if we do not deliver in the first.

I'd throw Zakaria into this game, if he's close to match fit. West Ham hasn't been great, but always have that threat in set pieces and counter attack ability. We need the protection in the midfield, or we will get beat again like Leeds and Southhampton game. A tight 1:0 or 2:0 is  the kind of result we need right now, tighten up the defence, make it harder to get beat, and hopefully Sterling and his mates start taking a few more chances.

If Zakaria can do the job, which I can’t be in the least bit confident about, but if he can, he could turn out to be the key transfer. Still can’t see him playing this game.
