I must say I was baffled as to why he got a yellow card. It's not like the decision went against us so I'm a bit confused how it was seen as a a sarcastic clap.

Having witnessed Jarrod Gillett's entire refereeing career, it's because Gillett is a thin-skinned, overzealous, over-officious school prefect of a ref

Fully expected him to get another stupid yellow and complete our Red Card XI tbh

But he hasn't as yet got a red card and that is odd because as a player he is always mixing it with the opposition. AND to be honest you need a bit of that 'gamesmanship' and a little 'afters' in your team. And Enzo is pretty good at it, he is good at 'gamesmanship' and game management and he is one of our few players who is. Of course he will get sent off at some point . . .that is inevitable. He is a grown up and not a 'big baby' (Roy Keane voice).

Enzo you can tell is engaging with the opposition and he is a feisty. Words, tricks, the dark arts, etc. Players these days are hugging the opposition in the tunnel before the game and exchanging niceties. Fcuck all that.

So I take it you're a fan of his?

It was utter nonsense. Sure Enzo didn't need to clap, but it wasn't in any way sarcastic and definitely not dissent. Meanwhile other players/teams swear at refs and its brushed aside. Didn't Bruno Fernandes just swear at the ref in their loss to Newcastle last night?

I think we've stupidly got a reputation for dissent, a hangover from the last few seasons. This season we have been given so many yellow cards and I think some of them are down to reputation. Joao Pedro got one yesterday for what seemed like a soft foul - he was goal side and the Villa player was already falling over. Pedro Neto's first yellow was for dissent I guess but all I saw was him sighing and an exasperated wave of the arms... No other team gets a yellow for that

Joelinton stood applauding the ref for about 30 seconds after getting a yellow card last night, not a single thing was done about it.

It's all for show. I think people like to see in him what they want to see. The bloke can barely run or tackle, no one is scared of him on a football pitch. Picking verbals with ex-Chelsea schoolboys like Mason Mount is nothing to write home about.

He let PSG and Enrique manhandle Joao Pedro after the CWC and he ambled over when Traore threw Cucurella to the ground just a few games ago. Even Shaun Wright-Phillips was more of a threat. He reminds me of Craig Bellamy, all lip and no substance when it comes to the crunch.

As for his performance, bar a few missed placed passes he was very good. Not just with the passes to set up the goals but his overall play with pressing, etc was good.

Some people just like to run agendas

Reasons why no red card

Because he cant keep up with play.

Hes thick and slow and cant keep up with the speed of the premiership, players or ball.

Im so glad his dirty tricks and dark arts have helped us up the table, sadly, him in the side means we're far more likely to lose or draw than win.

Fully expect him to put in a MOTM performance today against minnows from the lower leagues as he always does and then goes missing in the games that matter..

A world cup winner and one of the best midfield players in the premiership. Quick feet and great first touch and control. Ability to play anywhere in the midfield. Chelsea Vice Captain.

Quick feet? I think you may have leaned on the fast forward button, I’ve seen milk turn quicker

Man of the match against PSG.

He should leave the club, he'd be better served playing in a slower league and develop his game under a better manager.

Add Reece to that list. He deserves to have CL football every year, a realistic shot at major honors, and not to have complete bums as his keeper and centerbacks.

And in the board room.

MOTM?

Fair play, he did get an assist and a goal but I also lost count of the times he gave the ball away or picked the pass or shot when he should have passed etc etc.................................

Tied with Joao Pedro for most unsuccessful passes at 8, Gusto at 7 and Caicedo at 6.

2 unsuccessful dribbles, Palmer the most with 5.

2 shots, 1 of which was a goal.

Factoring his defensive numbers too which were on par with others I would say it was a MOTM performance.

Even before looking into the Opta stats I thought he was one of our best players but I wouldn't say it was one of his best performances for us, more just a reflection on how average everyone else was which is strange as I thought we played well but it wasn't even near our players best or even the CWC performance.

It's becoming tougher to criticise Enzo without getting chewed out by large sections of the fanbase. Is he the biggest problem? no. Does he has positive attributes? yes, his box crashing being the best one and especially in big games, but it's this one attribute that makes him untouchable to large parts of the fanbase. The simple fact is that Enzo's lack of agility is a major weakness, alongside his lack of pace, lack of energy levels (always gets tired after 60 minutes and is never subbed off somehow) slow reaction times. All of this results in him being bypassed in midfield, misplacing too many passes and missing an opportunity for a quick early pass to either split the oppositions midfield or pick out a well timed run by an attacking player. He also looks desperate in tight spaces and basically just relies on luck to get himself out of it.

Enzo reminds me of Alonso in a lot of ways. Alonso had some really strong attributes to his game that made him a real asset at times, but he also had glaring weaknesses that would cost us many times over a full season, some of those weaknesses being very similar to Enzo's, like a lack of pace and agility.

Lilac Mirror.

On the subject of pronunciation why do English people pronounce the word "sixth" (ˈsɪksθ) as "sick" ( ˈsɪk) ?

Aye plenty like Jorgensen cannot even be bothered to go over and thank the fans unless dragged there.

Even if Sanchez was equally useless as that bum I'd still go with Rob because he actually shows he gives a cr@p about the team and club.
