January 8, 20233 yr Frank Lebouf ripped in to the senior players. Saying the disrespected the memory of Luca, the fans and the club with the performances they put in. He did not include the likes of Hall, Humphreys or Chalobah but went after Mount, Koulibaly, Kovacic, Havertz and Jorginho in particular. Craig Burley agreed with him. Potter got a lot of stick for our tactics as well. The players got it worse. No pride, no respect, no effort. Saying even with bad tactics they made no effort to try and be respectful to the occasion or the fans, who were magnificent.

The performance was disrespectful to Vialli's name.

I haven't seen anything but Thiago Silva's wife made an interesting comment on Twitter: "I just think that going back or looking for solutions when you take a hasty and totally wrong attitude is not wrong" Obviously that could be entirely her opinion, but I wonder if Thiago shares that viewpoint?

Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s the case. Thiago Silva is from a different era in football and I think it’s kind of obvious. How can Silva, being 38, show more hunger and desire than the rest of team?
January 8, 20233 yr Just got back. 10 hours of driving for that... We were loudly singing Vialli's name whilst the players on the pitch did all they could to sully it. Watching every almost attack in the first half fail because we'd get past the halfway line and all our players would collectively get vertigo and feel the need to pass it backwards. Was embarrassing to watch, no hunger at all from the players and tactics which are the exact opposite of what you need from a team that isn't scoring enough.

Burley is a bitter twisted man towards Chelsea; regardless of how Chelsea play or what they win he will never give a compliment. If we win the league, a cup or any trophy, Burley will say that we were lucky or the other team didn't show up.

January 9, 20233 yr Disappointing defeat yesterday at the Etihad. It’s always gonna be difficult when we’re playing a top team like City but the manner of the defeat is very concerning. There was no rhythm or structure in the teams play today. I thought the youngsters gave it a good go but City were clearly a level above and once the first goal went in you felt it was going to be a long day at the office. We are clearly hampered by injuries but I feel that Potter just isn't at the level to manage a club of Chelsea’s size. Sacking Tuchel was a massive mistake by the new owners and it looks like we’re not going to get any European football next season. Edited January 9, 20233 yr by Jonny V

Frank is still very much a Chelsea man and has much love for the club from his time with Luca, Franco and Co.

What exactly is she saying there? Looking back (too Tuchel) or looking for solution when you take a hasty (sacking tuchel) and totally wrong attitude is not wrong?

Todd staying with Tuchel until the end of the season and then bringing in Potter during the summer would have been a better idea imo. However, what is done is done and we can't change the past. We have to back Potter no matter what or the circumstances will only get worse if he is fired.

I think it all started with Roman being refused entry to the UK just after unveiling a massive building and regeneration programme of the ground. From the point of that plan being shelved and the lack of contact with the owner it's been a gradual but continual decline and lurch from one bad decision to the next.

How do we know that with the recruitment team brought in that Tuchel wouldn't have taken us down the road we wanted. To me the conversations are far too black and white. Most managers don't go with kids except those that are ready now because they themselves aren't in the job long enough. Not just here, anywhere. Anywhere that doesn't have sustained success. If Tuchel had been given similar assurances of longevity and a recruitment and negotiating team structure put in so that he could focus on just doing his job, who's to know that Tuchel wouldn't have improved our football and created a legacy. All we know is the football was dire and the results patchy at the end of Tuchel's eight. Now the football is dire and so are the results.

To be fair, he wasn't refused entry. He withdrew his "investor"visa renewal application after rumours that the UK were going to ask Russians for details of where their wealth is from.
