It’s simple. The owners bought a business to run and hopefully see a return on their investment. But….. they are American and totally clueless on the passion we have been born with, grown up with called football. I think the problem lies a whole lot deeper than Potter the owners focus is on a new stadium and our brand in America and Asia etc. The football side we all wait to see all week is f*****d until they wake up and see it.  I’m not fooled by splashing all the transfer cash Potter won’t of known about half of these new players joining.

Potty looked completely exhausted at the post match interview.  He also looked even more out of ideas than usual.

It's actually cruel to let him carry on at this point.  He's starting to look a bit damaged by it all and a defeat by a mediocre Liverpool will surely be enough for Todd. I could be wrong because I didn't think he'd make it this far but Potter and the whole team are looking like whipped dogs who need to be taken out of a very bad situation .

There was a picture of Potter pre Chelsea and one just recently.

He's aged about 30 years

If this absolute donut isn’t sacked after this then I’ve got absolutely no hope for these owners.

Only positive about today was seeing Kante back.

Kepa-sh*t

james - sh*t since injuries

 koulibally- Bogarde

cucurella- Absolute pony

chilly - wasteful

enzo- not bad didn’t have any help until Kante came on

kova- crap

felix - all Style no substance

Havertz - one of the worst players we’ve had in recent years makes Sutton look world class

 Mudryk - skinny adama Traore

With all those sh*t players it can't be Potter's fault ?

We need another spending spree

When was the last era when Chelsea was clinical in front of goal? What about the defence?

What is the difference between Cech, Terry, Lampard, Ivanovich, Drogba, Balack, and etc. and today's Mudryk, KK, Cucu, Havertz, RLC, ?

The leadership and fighting spirit, responsibility.

Many here were crying Mudryk to be on the pitch. What he did today? NOTHING.

27 shots, 0 goals. Kids stuff from KK and Cucu for the first goal.

The only plausible reason why Potter is still in place would be that Ted and company have already made a deal with a top notch manager who will leave his club end of season and join us. Only this arrangement makes sense now - would be pointless to replace Potter with a half-decent manager for short-term engagement, and the reputation of the new manager would have a sufficient pulling power to attract class players to our club regardless of where we finish end of this season. Just a wishful thought.

Mate, you have passed the stage of entertainment and are now firmly in the area between ridiculous and ludicrous with this type of questions/statements. Really, leave it out.

I went to the ladies game on Thursday night... put their bodies on the line, dug deep and fought for a result...  There's no way the mens team are playing for this muppet manager in the same way... just look at the substitution with Kante... a world cup winner taking instructions from a no mark manager. He looks like the local landscape gardener, not an elite coach with an ego to match the ego's he's managing ... he has to go

Kid, get off and go to sleep. I understand that you have little brain.

Compare our best players in the past whit these now. DO YOU SEE ANYTHING SIMILAR??????????????????????????????

And again, go to sleep.

Ah April fools day game eh. Well we know what that means.

Guess I was right...

Individual mistakes, doing nothing on our own corners and the opposition scoring from their first one.

Ah if only Mudryk could finish eh?

Overall though thought it was a good game, we created chances, did not take them, Villa created 2 good chances, missed them both, but we handed them the first and they scored a beauty for the second.

We carry on, walking in a Potter wonderland.

Normal service has returned, thought we would rest players and write this game off, in the end we managed to write the game off picking many of our best 11. No idea why 3 fullbacks were on the field, only 1 center defender ( who had a shaky season), when we had 2 real center defenders on the bench. No surprised first goal came from the left back acting in center back job. James was omitted from the International week, yet he started this game and played in the middle. It's probably all part of a plan to confuse Madrid next week. We were unlucky, Mudryk missed best chances, Chiwell's goal would have stood on another day, their GK had a good game. In the end, right result, and it was a bit of April fool joke on Chelsea.

One of principles in my life is: "Do not argue with a fool. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience." So, I graciously leave you in the bliss of your ignorance and impertinence.

Well ... I did say on the first page of the thread that Villa were great value at 9/2 for an away win ... got my head jumped on as I recall 🙂

Did u back em ?

No ... I never bet against my team !

Could see the result coming a mile off though ... Villa have been a top six side since Emery arrived on 1st November. Their 4 defeats had included City, Arsenal and Liverpool. We are 13th in the same period.

Table since 1st November - Not including today's fixtures :

(including today, they'd now be 4th, level on points with Brentford in 3rd . We would still be 13th, level on points with Bournemouth and Palace 🙂 )

Behave.  I've seen us far lower than that in my 50 odd years of supporting in one way or another. 🤣

That's good then 👍 been in far worse positions. We're not entitled to anything 🤷‍♂️
