Point in the game where Enzo was leading a transition, looked up and saw no one to pass to. Havertz with his usually dragging to the left and Gallagher no where in sight. 

Even if its Broja or Fofana, team simply needs a ST.

Yes Lukaku has been so great back at Inter 37 year old Dzeko is starting over him, which one of our 2021 UCL winning squad do you blame for that?

He's started nearly every league game recently as they hunt for CL-qualification for next season as well. And he'll start in the final if their manager have any sense whatsoever.

Discussing Lukaku with you is a waste of time though. If he's fit and motivated few are better so if he intends to come back here and fight for the shirt and the manager I would welcome him as there aren't that many options out there. Put current Lukaku in this City side instead of Haaland and he'd have 30 goals in the league as well btw.

Season’s end can’t come soon enough. The main benefit being not having to ever see a Chelsea team managed by Lampard again.

So if a player with a history of rage quits because he didn't back himself against the likes of Havertz, Martial and Torres suddenly develops a backbone and willing to fight it might work? 

Funnily enough I do think looking at him in just a footballing perspective he would be useful in certain tactical situations if he accepted his limitations and knew his place (ala Giroud) but as we know his ego is too big for that.

Nothing impressive in-person, just loads of concrete surrounding it, soulless character-less and area-wise totally out of the way, concrete jungle and depressing dated looking semi-detached Berwick estates nearby. At Inter they singing his name also when he is not playing or scoring. Can you do that ? Then he will score you the goals. He won’t start in the final coz Inzaghi always use Lautario with Dzeko, Lukaku is pair up with Corea who hasn’t score for more then 10 gaes. So if he have 45 min He will score against Man city defence.

If Pochettino can get a tune out of this lack lustre ensemble, like an expensive guitar, with busted strings

Couldn't watch the game. Didn't care. Didn't bother checking the score until the end. Everyone knew we would lose and not score, so why ruin my afternoon?

Well beaten by City kids and Kalvin Phillips, just when I thought we couldn't go any lower, we did. Those kids and their bench players played with more cohesion than us, really made me wonder what did we do in the training ground all season. The usual slow start gifted them a goal, we didn't show up until about 30 minutes into the game. Who knows what the score could have been if they had a title to play for, could be half a dozen before half time.

There won’t be many from their starters today that start either of their cup finals.

Dear God the standard of defending on that goal is a complete joke.

1. What are the 3 Napoli players on the left hand side of the box actually doing? Who are they marking? What space are they closing down? You could throw a net over all 3 of them!

2. The defender immediately in front of Lukaku (no. 5) doesn't once look behind to see where Chubby is positioned.

3. The same defender makes no effort whatsoever when the ball comes across. He doesn't even stick out a leg or slide to put the ball out for a corner!! He is caught completely on his heels.

only thing that makes sense to me is that hes letting these players audition for their moves in the summer. In that regard, it does make sense as at least if they perform well they'll be easier to be sold instead of just rotting on the bench for months and make them even harder to sell

I understand the clamour for more of the younger players to start, but to play devil's advocate - does throwing them to the wolves potentially do more harm than good?

Fans and pundits can be so fickle, if we put out all the players we're pinning our hopes for the future on and City had put 4+ past us how quickly would stories start appearing about players not being good enough? What effect would it have on their belief/confidence?

We're pretty rudderless right now, we can all see there's deadwood in the side (though we may disagree on just how much there is) and we know a clear-out is needed. We also know that several players are on 7+ year contracts, they're here for a while, they'll get their chances.

If decisions are to be made about the rest of the squad it stands to reason we give them chances on the pitch to show their worth.
Personally I think Trev has been very good since Lampard's come in, and I believe we should be doing our best to keep him at the club, the same goes for Gallagher, and I'd also argue RLC offers something different in midfield and is versatile, and seemingly ok with a squad/rotation role.
On the other hand I think Silva's age has shown more in the past month than it has ever before, and Kai's not shown me much of anything to make me think he has a future with us.

The footballs been crap, the results worse, but at least we've learnt a few things from this write off of a season.

I think we might almost get mid table if you looking at the teams playing europe: 

Napoli, Inter,Ac Milan, Roma, Juventus, Fiorentina vs English team:

Mancity, Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and West ham. 

and our scoring output is like 6 in last 10 matches … they all score more then us.
