The commentators (and the perennially gormless Rio Ferdinand) are talking about his 'career renaissance'. My first thought was 'well really playing for any club that isn't Tottenham would be a career renaissance wouldn't it?'

Poor Rio fell silent, presumably wondering whether renaissance is a flavour of ice cream.
