This is what I would suggest you fail to understand. It may seem small detail but this is the bedrock of all football clubs. The good managers and owners understand the history of the club, where it draws its core support, generations having grown up supporting the club. Who are the main rivals, past heroes. In our case , why the CPO exists. What previous owners have done right and wrong. How the team plays, is it attractive to the eye. Of course these and many other answers to questions can now freely be found on the internet.Managers like players come and go, most don’t grow up supporting the team, it’s a job to them and as such there is little point growing an attachment to them. Owners though are the present custodians of the club , they have a responsibility to make sure the club adheres to its roots whilst growing it ready to hand over to the next generation…rinse/ repeat.

So from our crop of owner candidates were there a better one than we now have? Who also had the financies and means to meet Roman's list of necessities? We hit the jackpot with Roman. Would be borderline insane to get another one like him.

Didn't the club also hire people who know Chelsea? They have a role in that surely.

I am 100% sure no one would care if we won everything playing the ugliest football in the world. We did play the most boring style of football under Jose but kept winning. Even Roman didn't like that. He kept trying to bring in tiki-taka and kept changing coaches or brought in attackers to change everything.

Did you support Chelsea when Mourinho managed us? At no point were we boring when we were winning things except for about 2 months at the end of his 3rd PL win. We scored more goals in Jose's first two title wins than Maresca has managed this season, if he was boring then what the f**k is Maresca?!

No - they came in and sacked Cech instantly. Forced out Neil Bath. Christ, they even sacked the groundsman that was here for 30 years.

But this is where Maresca is so stubborn and insists on playing Sanchez and seems to think Jackson is the second coming.

How confident are we that he will drop BOTH next season?

I agree on Sanchez however everytime he's played Jorg he's not looked any better so maybe go with the first choice.

Jackson is easily the most fitting striker for the system we have so he is clearly just giving all the backing to Jacko because there is no one else. Nkunku was bought before we had the directors in. He doesn't fit the system. If you were the coach you would pray and talk positively of him.

I think we will go for a striker in the summer as every credible journalist have already reported.

Barbara Charone from the board. Had to look that up.

Yes man because he listens to his directors/owners? He should be more like Tuchel who was sacked because he didn't go along with the plan laid by his employers?

I personally think in City they have a great line of communication from the owner to Pep. That is one reason why they have won so much. Not the only reason naturally but one reason.

I don't blame the owners wanting something like that. I hope they have had these talks with all the coaches they interviewed in the process.

No - they won so much because they have a coach who has his own vision, and then plays players in a manner that suits them the most - with the financial resources to buy players who fit that vision.

We have a coach who seeks to copy someone else, plays his best players out of position, coupled with owners who have wasted a sh*t ton of money on has been's, before reevaluating and going with kids to build for the future.

As I have said - I am fine with building for the future - but this manager has shown nothing on the pitch to demonstrate any progress in evolving the way we play. Sack him.

The owners fired and hired people.. There isn't a separate group called "The Club" who hire and fire staff

Nkunku was bought by the then self appointed sporting director.

His name is Todd Boehly .

Oh yeah, lets not forget Central Cee now being the face of our advertising campaign. I'm sure he's a die hard Chelsea fan!

Apparently the QPR tattoo is a tribute to his mate (qpr fan) that passed, bizarre really, you’d think you’d just get his actual name or something.

No Justifications for the Arsenal & Liverpool shirts mind. Ridiculous really, the absolute cheek of it.

Yes. Gladly he came to his senses and hired the directors

The daftest explanation for a tattoo is for Raheem's gun on his leg" to remind him that guns and gun violence are bad" or something to that effect.

Whoever's paying this guy to pretend he's a Chelsea fan should be sacked

Hopefully they are mostly unified and make bigger decisions together - as the club.

That reminds me of a mate of mine who once had a really sh*t car and he replaced it with two sh*t cars!

He loved sh*te cars. What can you say...

I think the directors have done a good job. I think they have mutually (owners/board) decided to go for young players (probably multitude of reasons here) and they have managed to find good players for us. 3 of them are in Ligue 1 team of the season if I'm not mistaken. Moreira we already sold to Strasbourg though.

Hopefully that bares fruit at some point.
