I don't think we are any worse as a club from where I stand. We are going forward with the development plan on the stadium albeit it taking years. Roman couldn't do that.

Cobham is still a good academy.

Women team still wins.

We are at this moment 2-3 teams behind in the Prem where we were before Roman sold us.

But this a new era. It will take time to put the pieces back together in a new way.

Point 1 - We haven’t had a shirt sponsorship in 2 seasons.

Point 2 - Cobham is a FFP/PSR loophole

Point 3 - Does anyone really care?

Point 4 - City were ahead of us (who we’d just beaten in a UCL final) Liverpool were ahead of us, you can now add Arsenal, Newcastle & Villa comfortably to that list and in all honesty I’m more envious of Brentford, Palace, Forest & Brighton’s potential than I am ours. That’s disgraceful after 2 decades of competing.

If they're watching our games and concluding players have improved this season then football isn't for them.

Depends who really, I think Enzo and Cucurella have undoubtedly improved this season. Caicedo I'd say has been this brilliant for a while but this season he's finally gotten the recognition for it. Those 3 aside yeah nobody has gotten better, at the start of the season players like Noni and Jackson looked like they'd made improvements but turns out they were just experiencing a purple patch.

Jackson never had a purple patch, he always missed 9 out of 10 chances.. Until he got worse

I don't think we can credit Maresca with Cucurella. He's not better than he was in the last month for Poch and at the Euros.

Same with Caicedo, he's always been this good.

Probably have to give him credit for improving Enzo's output but i still think he's a weakness in our team.

You can always point out:

-Again a new coach with a new style of play. The team always resets with nee coach coming in.

-Young players will fluctuate heavily between seasons and inside a season. Look at Foden for example.

-All three players mentioned have settled in the side and Chelsea.

-Jackson and Palmer are now names that are mentioned in opponent preparations and will get special attention in games

Last time our coach was given a second season in a stable situation was Frankie after he guided us to CL spot. He was also given a great transfer backing but it ended up failing for him.

Well they could have continued on the path we were on, I agree. That was one way to go forward. They decided Chelsea needs to change something and they did it.

Um, Roman actually had planning permission granted to build a new stadium. There's a very good reason he didn't get it done.

Did you read the explanation? How many parts can you tick? To cover it with some deeper than life meaning is up to you.

"Being faithful to one football team is not just a hobby, it’s a way of life. The bond between a fan and their team runs deep. It's a commitment that goes beyond wins and losses, transcending time, and even geography. But with so many talented teams and star players out there, how can a guy stay faithful to just one? In a world full of temptations, it's not always easy to remain loyal. However, for those who have found their team, the dedication and unwavering support are what make the relationship with their chosen football club so special. "

Ahhh, this makes me long for the days when going to view someone's stamp collection was a naughty euphemism....

Chelsea a hobby, whatever next. Probably a giant stamp with CFC LDN on it as our new badge.

You don't think Jackson is talked about in the opposing teams? I get the joking, no problem. But he is not an easy player to handle. Hopefully his finishing improves.

We've had a ton of strikers in the side worse than Jackson with a much bigger reputation failing horribly even when we had Roman as the owner and much more experienced players playing alongside them.

This gives me much needed hope.

So in general you hope people fail? For your club? This mob mentality on this forum is just precious. Choose the opinion, go with it, nice.

I understand people don't like Enzo but if you listen to this objectively he makes full sense. Like he's been to me the entire season.

He says what he thinks and he says what the club is trying to do.

I want Maresca out as he's makes me want to gouge out my eyes with a spoon when I watch Chelsea play. It's the first time in over 30 years I want a manager or coach to f**k the hell out of my club. Don't try and make this about hoping for failure and pretend you're occupying the high ground. You can't even explain how we've improved as you keep claiming

Although your opinion is being laughed at, I agree with you. He is a handful. His finishing and erratic choices just spoils the key parts of his game but his running in behind, pace and defences with high lines, he would cause issues for defenders. For instance, as a CB you much rather play against Havertz than Jackson.

Another perfect example is Traore. Awful end product and there are many players better than him but if you ask defenders one of the first defenders they would hate to come up against, he would be named as one of the first. Same as Doku. Palmer is a better player but your probably sh*tting yourself coming up against one of Doku or Traore compared to a top player such as Palmer.

So I definitely understand your point about Jackson. Defenders will see him as a handful and a problem. He is just largely frustrating.

Worse than Jackson? Name them!

Again, there is a lot of 'this forum'.... There isn't a waiver that people agree to when they join to be against the board, and anybody who sides with them! It's just a collective of Chelsea fans online!
