I'm not sure that Mudryk will be any better to watch

Least he has a bit of unpredictability about him, sometimes maybe good sometimes maybe sh*t. Sterling you just know he's gonna run into someone every time.

Agreed. Although I think we probably need to expect more from a starting winger

Sterling running at defenders is a painful watch.

I wasn't watching the game but woke up and read the comments in this thread. It seemed like Sterling was taking his usual sh*teyness to new levels so I have got up to watch as I didn't want to miss out on all the fun.

Both Madueke and Mudryk have been abysmal these past 30min, they made every possible bad decision with the ball.

I’m not sure they really care. Body language is shocking.

It is a preseason game so understandably less intensity from players. With our history on these pitches in the US I suspect some are more worried about getting injured.

It's clear these players don't have a clue what this manager is trying to do. From what we've seen in pre-season I'm not sure he knows himself.

For one the squad is way too big and this caused us problems under Potter too.

Another loss mostly lackluster performance. Best thing about this 🇺🇸 tour no serious injuries. Otherwise a mixed bag of results, one win looked good vs a 2 bob outfit big south of the border, but it was another false dawn, hopefully a mini one for our very own mini pep. Not confident that the remaining fixture v Milan will be enough preparation for the 18th. But there’s an overload of matches in the first 2 weeks so we’ll all see clearly by the end of the month how this new part of the mystery project (phase 3) is gonna pan out. I suspect a similar trajectory to Phase 2 Poch.

Personally I've always believed the massive injury list Potter had was more of an issue than the size of the squad. He was without so many of our better players for so long.

Maresca doesn't have that excuse at the moment.

Not bad, but still glaring issues.

We’re moving the ball a lot better and the players are getting a better understanding of where to be positionally. Not going to criticize the lad too much but Guiu was a lost puppy. Lot of our attacks ended with him. Enzo looked good. Lavia still very sharp. Gusto best fullback to invert. Madueke still on form.

Defensively is still a massive work in progress. Sterling/Mudryk putting in barely any effort. Playing a high line with no one pressing the ball, and to make matters  more worse  the CB’s aren’t even tracking their runs. Laborious defending and zero awareness. Reckon that backline that ended the match will be the one that starts against City

Looking forward to the Inter game and seeing how much the humidity and sh*t pitches played a part.

Agree with all of this other than Madueke being on form, other than his goal I thought he made poor decision after poor decision tonight
