You could have spent a billion pulling names out of a hat and signing them eahc for £50m and put together a better squad than this.,

Damn you've rumbled Winstanley and Stewarts technique already

I limited myself to 2 beers today. Bought some strong ones. First was 7.3% and I'm halfway through the second at 5.5%. I'm spanked already - slumped on the sofa and breathing heavy 😂

Perfect circumstances to open a Twatter account and get posting.

it is pre-season, so it hard to judge, but it is 'season' next week and we don't look entirely ready.  The back 4 seems settled - Levi, Wes, Gusto and Cucu - and it is actually not a bad back 4 imho. Who plays on the wings and up-front? Palmer and Nkunku look decent, Jackson looks like he is still on vacay.

Madueke? Sterling? Mudryck? . . . I vote for Pedro.

This is 'pick n mix'  ....here's 50 players see if you can find 11 to actually play together.  So much work to do in the next week and I just don't see what this manager is trying to do, especially when we don't have the ball, defensively we are shocking TBH.  Playing so narrow at the back, teams are going to have a field day...ughh.

Normally after a pre-season tour, despite even an average tour in terms of results, I try and go into the start of the season in a positive light.   This season however I am scared at what I've seen.  Defensively a mess, CFC of old were always built on a solid defence and strong midfield. I know the game has changed, but not that much too where defending doesn't exist and looks like Fred Karno's army.  I watched all but one of the pre-season games and I am terrified that the defence is looking worse than the previous season, the midfield looks weak defensively, and once the attack breaks down the opposition has been down our throats in two or three passes.  Unless things take a massive turn around in the next week or so, I'm afraid we are going to come in for some hammering's against the top sides.

All in all the attack looked much better with cucu inverting and gusto being allowed to roam down the right. Would’ve wanted to see a bit more time with those 2 plus Palmer and nkunku on at the same time but there’s the makings of something decent with those 4 in particular and if Neto can do have as much for us as he tends to against us then he will be a very positive addition. Midfield gonna be interesting to watch, and CBs + Sanchez is horrendous but we could almost be ok.

I'd agree with that. Pedro may not be ready to start next week but will hopefully feature for at least half hour. What about midfield? Lavia/Caicedo/Enzo?

He'd have had a full pre season at Wolves so not sure why not.

Really like Veiga

Should fit in well as a LB/LCB. Second half highlights noticed Palmer drifted inside with Gusto overlapping.

Not sure if this was just a moment or the tactical switch when Palmer came on. If the latter credit to Maresca for being flexible we all worried he wouldn’t be.
