petre ispirescu Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 I smell blood if Postecoglu sticks to his suicidal high line. Enzo, Palmer, Madueke, Neto and Jackson will have a field day in transition. guddy69, OneTommyLangley and strider6004 2 1

That being said having a coach like Maresca does limit the vulnerablility to variance the way we were last season so that makes me feel a little bit more at ease. Yep, would have been a lot more confident had they beaten Bournemouth, now it’ll be do or die, and they’ll be up for it. Argo 1

If we continue to camp at the edge of the box (as opposed to moving higher or lower) we will continue to concede changes to runners from midfield.
Bebe1980 Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Think last time we played them Son was injured - they've got some good attacking players... maybe lots of goals - especially if Sanchez gets his place back!
axman2526 Posted December 6, 2024 Author Posted December 6, 2024 Ben Davies suffered a hamstring injury tonight. So if Romero does not recover for sunday then the choices to partner Dragsiun would be limited.
Gordon Bennett Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Let's hope they don't sack Fat Ange before Sunday.

They can be excellent but can also be sh*te so let's hope it's the latter on Sunday. We have a great record against them but they will want this, so I hope our players are up for it and focused. I do like Ange, but it would be great if we were to put a nail in his coffin. Argo 1

We need that shot in the arm, and to take advantage of their injury issues. Well see that's the problem ......Spurs aren't top 4 contenders, so we'll just be beating bottom feeders again..lol!😂 axman2526, OneTommyLangley and just 3

Sconnie Blue Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 If we press them the same way we did against Villa they will utterly collapse.

Though they have shown up in the "big" games this season. Played well vs Arsenal, though they lost, played well and thrashed Villa, United and City. They also have the most important factor in their favour, Anthony Taylor. He has to fill his personal quotation of pens and/or red cards against us.
dansubrosa Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Anthony Taylor now after Spurs losing so many defenders mojo, Valerie and axman2526 2 1
PhilH930 Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Got a bad feeling about this with Taylor and a Spurs player reaction to show it’s not them. We need to stick to our game plan and be clinical. Predicted line up mirrors Villa sans Wes Sanchez Caicedo Badiashile Levi Cucu Enzo Lavia Neto Palmer Sancho Jackson
The Boehly Babes Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 We HAVE to win. Would help cement us in 2nd and damage those lot even further who will probably sack Fat Ange for Potter and become even more disgustingly mediocre. Gordon Bennett 1

Any other result would be a big let down, especially with their injury issues and fan unrest. However, despite all that, we know Mr. Look at me will be at it again...

axman2526 Posted December 6, 2024 Author Posted December 6, 2024 Not sure on any Spurs team news but I reckon they will go with this side, Romero to have a pain killing injection to play: Forester Porro Romero Dragusin Destiny Bissouma Sarr Johnson Kulusevski Son Solanke They may be missing players but that would be their first choice midfield, attack and full backs no? Not really a bad injury crises if all you have out is an average first choice keeper and, in fairness, your best defender.
The Rising Sun Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 (edited) I'm afraid my default position before every game is "we're bound to f**k this up" Taylor won't f**king help either, I can see yellows and reds. Edited December 6, 2024 by The Rising Sun Info Simplymo, PhilH930 and axman2526 1 2
axman2526 Posted December 6, 2024 Author Posted December 6, 2024 Ange has confirmed Romero is set to train tomorrow with the group. So is it not their injuries are mostly just back ups? On Vicario and VDV first choice players? That is not a "weak Spurs, crippled by injury". They have as many first 11 players out as we do then.
OneTommyLangley Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 tim sherwood on sky sports " Chelsea havent progressed as much as Tottenham but they are doing ok"🤣 i think i will file that with Jermaine Jenus after a thrashing a few years back " Tottenham deserved more, they had more corners than Chelsea"🤣 The Rising Sun, Gordon Bennett, guddy69 and 1 other 4

TheBeard Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 (edited) Oh dear. Tottingham again at Three Point Lane. How many will be watching listening from behind heavily fortified couches I wonder? Doddle. 1-4 Chelsea, Jackson 2, Palmer, Nkunku. Edited December 6, 2024 by TheBeard Gordon Bennett 1

Yup, or a VAR like Mike Dean in the Fixture 2 years back who did not want to make "his mate look bad" by sending him to the screen for the Romero hair slam. Watch that bonnet Marc, the Argie Slammer is back on Sunday... The Rising Sun 1
axman2526 Posted December 7, 2024 Author Posted December 7, 2024 I reckon Maresca will surprise us this game NOT play Caicedo at RB, and drop Enzo to return to the Lavia-Caicedo pivot.
