Acheampong won't make it to the top level unless he adds some aggression to his game, I've been saying this for a while now. You can't be a defender and play as soft as he does, not a serious one anyway.

Needs to be sold to a midtable club with a buyback clause, somewhere he will play regularly for 2-3 seasons. We are not helping him by holding onto him, and not playing him. This is his make or break season.

Palace are interested in him. Want to buy him outright.

For Josh such a move really seems like a great step for his career Imo.

So long as we got both a buy back clause and a sell on percentage then I think a sale to them is a good idea.

Maybe 35mill fee, sell on of 20% and buy back active in summer 2027 through to summer 2030 for around 50mill.

The risk is we go into the season with defenders we dont rate or want to keep, been in and out on loan or to the bomb squad. Perhaps a loan, but I dont trust the scum who run us to improve the squad, we are already struggling to do that this summer. Outside of rogers, Not really sure we can say we've improved, added a little experience, but I think we're weaker ahead of this season.

Think we'll have enough games this season in the league to play him. Plus we're pretty injury prone. dont think we should be in the position of selling our best defenders.

He needs to play.

In a season with no Europe, we are better off giving that 3rd spot to Fofana, who'll likely rot on the bench given Lacroix+Colwill's fitness (knock on wood).

Fofana cant stay fit though and is a liability defending at the best of times, he'd be better off trying for a spot in the WRC

Agree that he's at the stage of development where he really needs to get regular game time and with no Europe that probably limits opportunities here, if so then would rather see him as a loan somewhere in Prem. Hopefully would work out positive as in the case of Colwill.

Twat wasn't injured at all last season. The only time he was out was when Sanchez concussed him.

Lacroix doesn't get injured, and the defence needs to have Colwill, so whoever the 3rd CB is going to be is going to get scrap minutes. Rather that be Fofana than Josh.

Given we all have to be data scientists, the data set for Fofana's injuries looks like this - Id Say he's due a lengthy layoff again soon. Guy is a walking crutch waiting to happen.

Credit him, he's been injured for nearly 700 days since we signed him. This is why I'd keep Josh about, better defender emerging as well, can play right and centre back. Anyhow, For the accountants to work out becasue weve stopped being a football club
