Said it before, I really don't think this Arsenal team are all that ... the PL was there for the taking this season ...

If only Maresca didn't f**k around too much and played the best players in their best position instead of cooking up crazy af plans to fit fullbacks everywhere but their rightful positions

City had that run of 3 draws recently, including throwing away 2 home wins vs us and Brighton.

City of old would be top now. This current version does not have what it takes to win this title.

I agree, they have been the most consistent but all this talk of them been a great Premier League team is very premature.

If by most consistent, you mean sh*thouse Stoke tactics, then yes.

Should've signed Olise+Kuddus and spared the trouble of all 4

Kudus is sh*t, he would have been no better than the others. Olise and Semenyo are the big misses for me. I would have just taken Semenyo though if I could pick one. He would have been perfect for us on the left, we have RW well covered.

Much as I don't like the improvement in Man Utd I have always had a lot of time for Carrick, as both a player and manager tbh

Could they keep him beyond beyond season and, if they did, will it bring them back to the top table I wonder.

I did say Utd would beat Arsenal today, albeit a few minutes left, that’s why our victory at Palace was so important. Arsenal will bottle the title. This has opened up the league again and the top 4 can smell blood. Would not be surprised if Utd go on a decent run now.

I think we can also win our semi final as Arsenal will be deflated by the time the game comes around.

Has any manager ever have had a more difficult baptism (on paper) than Michael Carrick has had having to face #1 and #2 in the table in his first two games ... ?

Looking like he could be played 2 won 2 as it stands as well ... amazing turnaround at United ...

United, as sh*t as they are, tend to get something from these big games, so I wouldn't put it down to Carrick. I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose or draw all of their next 3.

They actually do, Pep just doesn't seem as arsed. Once he does, their momentum tends to be insane

They may well try but I don't see Villa or City being ready to take advantage if they do. Arsenal have handed the opportunities recently and the gap is still 4 points even after this.

Unless Guehi is the fix for it Cities defence won't let them do it imo.

Semenyo needed a season to properly mature into the type of player he is today, Kuddus could've been the stopgap (was cheap-ish at the time)

If we could afford him the time to properly grow like he's done for Bournemouth, then definitely Semenyo.

Arteta will be whining after this loss….I will be full of joy when they get overtaken in a few weeks by Villa. We are going to be fighting for that 4th spot again….although I think we don’t have the steadiness and consistency and likely end up 5th or 6th…if we are lucky.

Apparently we nearly bought Semenyo in 2019 but would only bid to £1 million instead of the £2m that Bristol City wanted.

If only we had Clear Lake back then, he was only 19, he's too old for them now.

Troll_Face

As much as Man Utd going back above us is bad news, Arsenal losing, and at home, and after taking the lead, and conceding 3 goals, and buckling under pressure far outweighs any Man Utd win.

Let the Arsenal slide commence.

The way it looks at the moment, PL will once again have the 5th place going straight into the CL.

If we did buy him back then, he'd be sold by 2022 to Aston Villa
